Question about cops

That's funny.... My best friend got caught with coke and pot (1 gram of each) and the rookie cops didn't read him his rights. However, he got drug class and 12 months probation. He was 19, but he got caught at 18 with slightly less than an ounce and got 40 hours of community service.

California is a great state to live in. Lawyers and everything.

 

I was, i was tought that mouthing off to the cops doesn't win you anything, that they can't make you submit to any questioning without either a lawyer or a parent (if under 18), if you say 'lawyer' the inquisition is over.
I learned this in 9th grade in 'personal law' class. Also, watching COPS is a great eductation, remeber: Know thy enemy.
