People like Amy Coney Barrett are not unqualified for their office because of their lack of intelligence or education. They are unqualified because they are way too out of the mainstream.

David Duke was "qualified" when came to his education background. He graduated Louisiana State University with a BA. What made David Duke "unqualified", when he ran for the Louisiana house seat in 1989, was his neo-nazi ties.

And actually, during Amy Coney Barrett's Senate confirmation hearings in 2020, her answers to the abortion question were evasive and unclear. But she didn't lie. Unlike Brett Kavanaugh who lied in 2018 when he said he would never overturn Roe.

    Thoughts?

It is my opinion that there is no one who is qualified to hold public office.
THe reason being, that there is no one who can honestly say they are doing it for the good of the people. They are doing it for the 6 figure Salary, the Notariety, the Per Diem and Discretionary Budgets, and because they get to feel superior.

Ever time an election rolls around, we all become Diogenes, using our social media devices like a lamp of truth trying to find the one honest politician that will represent our interests.

[HINT: Diogenes never found that one Honest man]

Neither of them is qualified to be a supreme court justice in my opinion.

That may be true, but certainly some are better than others...some are a bit less dishonest (if there is such a thing) and some are more more blatant than others in their greed.

Choosing the Lesser of two evils then?
I'm afraid that's exactly what most of us do.
