I hate to say this, but I know a couple kids (20 to 30s) that are or were involved with ANTIFA. They met and shared info on where to go next. All were broke and most still lived at home.

 

I'm neither on the left or right, but it appears the left is leaning towards socialism and taking away our rights. I haven't met anyone, left or right that thiinks they are going to be treated better. The closest to that are mostly from the left. They are voting for more free things. Sounds like The Roman Empire just before it fell.

 

Been a Socialist for years; I believe it's the way we're meant to live, but most people are too greedy to do that.
Jesus taught that we should love one another and share freely, not deny help to those in need.

 

I'm a firm believer and I've never seen such a thing in the bible. Yes Jesus asked us to help one another, but I recall a verse about teaching instead of doing for someone. Of course it's not word for word, but it's the jist of the words. But to share is a good thing, I probably do it more then most, but I wouldn't be able to do so, had I not worked hard and made good money. I didn't recall anything about sitting down and waiting for someone to share their earned items. I also remember a couple preachers saying they will build you a mansion in heaven, if you are worthy. Does that mean, everyone gets a mansion? Do the ones that barely made it through the gates of heaven get the same as those who devoted their lives to God? Now I've heard people say that heaven is a socialist society but they never say where they got the information. I can only guess, but I'd think it came to them after their last joint in their parents basement.

 

I can prove that the flat earth people are wrong with a simple statement.
If the earth was flat, then there wouldn't be anything left on earth. All the cats would be pushing things off the edge. LOL

 

For a variety of reasons there are a lot of people who can not earn their own way....and not because they are “lazy” or unmotivated. A mature and caring person would certainly want to provide for such people WITHOUT stigma or judgement. As far as socialism goes, the US is stuck in the big lie perpetrated by the robber barrons of the late 19th century. It’s unconscionable that Trump and the Republicans have have doubled down on the mythology of the evils of socialism to justify their own selfishness and greed. The concentration of wealth in the US by the ultra rich few is an international disgrace. A crash course in respect for others is sorely needed.

 

There is little difference between an autocratic socialist and an autocratic capitalist. Both treat individuals with contempt and disgust. And the fact that Trump did not become a dictator is not for his lack of trying.

 

Fortunately not. The people I know have more sense.
