Tonight on CBC, Amanda Lang asked a panel of so-called experts, what is Putin's endgame for the Ukraine. Indeed, for Russia too! Nothing much of substance came out of the question except a bunch of meaningless drivel from the ilk of Janice Stein and some others of less importance. And anyway, I wouldn't want to give away the answer to you resident HF experts anyway. So man/woman up here on this thread and tell us what you think is Putin's endgame. Keeping in mind that the question sort of left the real experts flatfooted. And no fair cheating and calling up the program on the internet! I'm saving my answer for later after you people have your chance.
O.k., why keep you people in suspense when it's pretty obvious that none of your fuking swine have the slightest idea of what this is all about anyway. There's nothing coming from any of you tomorrow that didn't come out today. Putin's endgame is to hold his ground and protect the status quo of his country. When the US/Nato started pouring billions of greenbacks into the Ukraine, it became pretty obvious that the intention was to bring the Ukraine into the Nato fold. And then when that is accomplished, Russia's buffer zone of protection on it's borders would be lost. It's a cold war folks, and it never really stopped being so. It was only put on temporary hold for a while. And so, Russia (Putin if you need the 'insane' victim) knew very well that the Crimea was the first target of US/Nato aggression and was the beginning of the end for Russia if it didn't act to protect it. The rest is history. But it's history with a rather comforting twist from Russia's POV. Russia gave the people of the Crimea the referendum they demanded and the people went to Russia in about the 95th. percentile. And lo and behold, not a drop of blood was spilt. So now we must compare that to the US crime of going to war with Iraq. Yup, I know that they claim that the two can't be compared! And the answer to that is phhhhhhttttt. Of course they can. One was bloodless and in the wishes of the people while the other was bloody to the tune of hundreds of thousands of people's spilt blood and completely against their wishes as a people. So, essentially that's the story in a nutshell but there's lots more that can be added to it. I won't because it's all over your heads. Now do any of you wiseass dildoes want to call me on any of that? and that's Putin's endgame.
When people try to talk politics and it doesn't even like have anything much to do with them or affect their lives they kinda look silly.

Seems another cease-fire is about to be signed, again halting the Putin sponsored fighting in Ukraine. He has sacrificed so much for his vanity and his pretenses. Unfortunately, it is the people, who pay the price in poverty for the aggrandisment of Putin's State. Are the sanctions just?
