I was baked as when I saw it. I don't even know I was that stoned. Had 2 beers and Nelson County and 2 bong rips I was spinning like a yoyo. Went in there with three 12% Woodstocks. Walked out feeling good.

I surely can't speak for everyone but I haven't forgotten about it...or the LACK of it ever happening in Assbackwards, SC...or hell anywhere in SC. People around here ("old" folks my age and even some younger - smh) still CHEER HAPPY AND LOUD when some poor schmuck is arrested on the interstate around here with several pounds of weed.

Yeah - they can't seem to jail rapists for any length of time and very rarely do murderers here get much time - but weed...now THAT will land you some time in prison, and not at a federal golf course.

OR my friend that stole back his own stuff that was stolen from him...he reported it to the law and THEY TOLD HIM where they "thought" it was but he would have to wear a wire bc it was at a dealer's house. My friend said basically "NOT just no...but hell fuck no!!!" He later proceeded to go get his stuff back since the law was so nice to TELL him where it was (and they were right)...he got 27 yrs. Another dude was with him and the other dude held a gun on the 4 people there...no one was killed. My friend didn't even get everything there...JUST his own stuff.

I don't want to know what he would do if he had his time to go over...he'd probably let the gun-holder shoot them...that is what he wanted to do but my friend talked him out of it. The people even told that in court but no matter he got 27 yrs.

So...I'm not expecting weed to get legalized anytime soon around here; but, if it does that'll be great. I enjoy being pleasantly surprised (not that I can remember the last time it happened.)

 

I have held it all inward, God knows I've tried.

Its a measure of people who don't understand, the pleasures of life up in high country land. I met my sweetheart when I was thirteen. Now I'm over thirty and still crazy it seems.

Legislature recesses with progress on medical cannabis bills

Sen. Tom Davis and Rep. Peter McCoy’s twin medical cannabis bills — the South Carolina Compassionate Care Act (S 212/ H 3521) — gained significant momentum before the legislature recessed for the year. In January 2018, when the legislature meets for the second half of its two-year legislative session, the bills will pick up where they left off.

Please ask your lawmakers to support this compassionate legislation, which would allow seriously ill patients with debilitating medical conditions to obtain state ID cards that allow them to access medical cannabis from a state regulated dispensary.

On February 21, 2017, after a public hearing, a subcommittee of the House Medical, Military, Public and Municipal Affairs Committee voted 3-0 to send the bill on to the full committee. The committee met to discuss the bill but did not advance it to the full House before the legislature recessed.

Meanwhile, a subcommittee of the Senate Medical Affairs Committee held two hearings, one focused on medical professionals — the overwhelmingly majority of which were supportive, the other on law enforcement. Subcommittee chair Sen. Daniel Verdin was considering additional hearings but has expressed his intent to the send the bill on to the full committee for its consideration.

While it is disappointing that no law was passed this year, we are well-positioned going into 2018. During the break, we will be working with local advocates to mobilize more support for next year. If you would like to get involved, please contact Compassionate S.C.

 

got to become active in cannabis reform. even if that's just posting a few links to compassionate care in local news threads on facebook. If your locals arent reading about it, they havent a clue, donate money for paper and petitions to cannabis care. get involved with FB groups in your area attend cannabis meetings.
