Actually this is possible, but extremely rare. The man in the 60's who started the church of LSD originally got into phycadelics by eating some magic mushrooms. He then created a magic mushroom research center in which there were magic mushroom pills created, so it is possible. Interesting topic...

 

You sure you dont mean psilocin? (4-HO-DMT) Psilocybin (4-PO-DMT) is very unstable from whjat I understand. I wouldnt pay 250/g for it when its available for around $140. Looking foward to trying it soon. Be sure to let us kneo how it oges if you get to it first

 

Yes, mushrooms were first, or at least near first, on leary's psychedelic adventure, but he didn't create the pills. That was Albert Hofmann who first isolated psilocybin and psilocin, and then he, working with Sandoz pharmaceuticals, made the first pink 2 mg psilocybin pills.

 

It will be psilocin, not psilocybin. sorry.

mushrooms are pretty damn close to free and theres no reason anyone should need to pay much money at all for them. IF i were going to buy mushrooms instead of grow, the most i'd comfortably pay is 10-15 bucks an eighth. of course, i'd never find them that cheap around here.

pure psilocybin would be incredibly safe and non-toxic, however that is only assuming that it IS actually psilocybin and not some other substance. buying a mysterious white powder online which is supposedly an illegal substance....i've bough RCs before without any problem, and the effects held true to what it should have been, but i've not bought SCHEDULED RCs before, and since there are unscheduled RCs with effects and dosages very similar to psilocybin, i'd be iffy about it. it doesnt mean its NOT real, you just have no real way to know. it would likely be cheaper to extract it than synthesize it, but it would be entirely possible and probably pretty easy for a chemist experienced in this type of thing to synthesize.

i'd say its risky both from a legal and a medical standpoint; then again no RC can be considered "safe" and it may or may not actually be psilocybin. without any good way of verifying this, i'd err on the side of caution and just get some mushrooms some other way, or else a different RC that isn't specifically illegal to possess.

its quite possible to have pure, isolated psilocybin in powdered form just as was used in the experiments at Harvard by Dr. Leary and by Dr Strassman later in different experiments in the 1990s. it would be a white powder like most isolated drugs are.

also i'm slightly amused by someone making an effort to correct another saying "i'd take the fungi source, because mushrooms are a fungus" when in actuality it would be the fungal source, not the fungi source "fungi" is the plural form of the noun "fungus" while "fungal" is an adjective meaning "of, resembling, relating to, or characteristic of a fungus"
