Punk---Hippie's Adversary

Punks ARE hippies and vice versa....

 

It's not about who our supposed "enemies" are. Because we should be loving everyone equally anyways. I choose not to label others or myself, so I can't possibly have enemies.

But if you must know, it's Goths, not punks. One of my best friends is a goth and he told me about how at Convergence (a Goth convention in Florida, who knew?) some of his friends were complaining about hippies and how hippies always bash them etc.

I tried to explain to him that it's only the shallow try hard "hippies" who would do that because a true hippie wouldn't judge anyone, let alone other outsiders to the norm such as goths. I believe the same is true about Goths towards hippies.

Punk - A state of mind beyond that of being confined.
Hippie - A state of expression beyond that of oppression.
Basically two different ways for achieving the same thing.

The point you made was a beautiful and awesome one to both tastes...
The only difference in concept is approach, just as the only difference in your relationship is gender. I've had many hippie(esk) girlfriends. They were awesome.

It's about channeling the agression away from those of the similar ideal, and shelling it out against the fukken pathetic assholes who only know how to kiss ass and suck dick to get ahead, Whilst faking it to feel ok.
