not much going on in the ambient & trance forum eh? :)
    whatever..

I'm sure many of you have heard Electric Universe and his legendary track:
    the prayer

I sooooooooo much love it, it's like an anthem here within the turkish psychedelic community.

here comes the original Stotra that is played at the beginning:

shuklaam baradharam vishnum shashi varnam chathur bhujam
prasanna vadanam dhyaayet sarva vighnopa shaantaye
vyaasam vasishtha naptaaram shakteh pautrama kalmasham
paraa sharaatma jam vande shukataatam taponidhim
vyaasaaya vishnu ruupaaya vyaasa ruupaaya vishnave
namo vai brahmanidhaye vaasishtaaya namo namah
    avikaaraaya shuddhaaya nityaaya paramaatmane
sadaika ruupa ruupaaya vishnave sarva jishnave
yasya smarana maatrena janma sansaara bandhanaath
    vimuchyate namastasmai vishhnave prabhavishhnave
    om namo vishnave prabhavishnave
    sri vaishampaayana uvaacha

(beginning part of the stotra "a thousand names of vishnu")

for those who are yet to listen: listen!!! :)

anyone ever listened; the nommos - eight finger funk ?
    one of my all-time-favourites :)

the samples there belong to eight finger eddie.. "real" life quotes of him, if I do remember right, and the track had been made for his 80th birthday party.

    weird...
    try ;)

P§Ý©Ħ£ÐĔĻĮ¢ Ŧ®ªŊçĒ IS THE WAY OF THE WIZZARD

My favourite PsyTrance Artist of all time is an amazingly talented young man by the name of Vince LeBarde from Switzerland.. he goes by the producer name 'ELECTRYPNOSE' (Electric Hypnosis), although has been heavily involved with side projects such as Cerebral Factory, Intellinoise, and Minimum as well as collaborating with other artists to produce remixes or Vs. tracks. Two albums worth checking out are 'Where Do We Go (2CD)' - [Track 5 on CD2 ('Sunny Heart') being the ultimate peak for the entire album IMO at 4:11 onwards..] - and 'Le Tireur De Fiscelles' (translation - 'the handler pulls the strings') - standout tracks for me being 'Stupid Moods' and 'Disfunction'.

    I'm more into the dark side of PsyTrance; other artists of this type of psytrance I passionately follow (which have no doubt already been listed so I'll just name my favourite) are;
Kindzadza, Orca, Highko, Karash, Bombaxis, Gappeq, Phatmatix, Digitalist, Baphomet Engine, Samadhi, Fungus Funk.. to name but a few. I'd seriously be here all day and possibly some of tomorrow.

I don't mind full-on PsyTrance at all, and love Space Buddha, Vibe Tribe, Toast3d, OverTonez, etc. but my passion lies in messy forms of dark psy with grating techniques and thick polyphonic texures with interwining rhythms/melodies.

    ....and SHPONGLE AREN'T PSYTRANCE ^ ^
