After carefully thinking it over, I nominate 2cesarewild StonerBill TopNotchStoner earlyxsunsets and polymer And, although it may sound weird, because he isn´t even a member, I´d like to add Johndoe881 to my list. He may only have 50 posts here, but I know him from other forums (and other occasions), this guy knows his drugs and would imho make an excellent mod. Think about it!
Mike i have no idea what's happening in your sig but it's stolen many seconds off me as i try to work it out haha
Getting back to this thread late night after seeing some spam here. Yea Flow is good, in the synths forum especially: One thing you notice when sharing knowledge about drugs, is that people get offended when you tell them they are wrong about something like say that "LSD stays in your spine." Had a girl in med school tell me they taught that to her there before. She just wouldn't listen, maybe my technique. But a dude like Flow keeps it tight I find he has the ability to hold back laughter and sarcasm (much more than I can say for myself), so when he drops his knowledge it comes off as respectable, therefore people listen more. And polymer, just straight up pwns, knows his shit inside and out, both would make excellent choices for mods.... but maybe only in certain areas of the psychs forum.
Just to end all the discussion about me and whether I should become a mod or not: I started working in a new job last week, and it has turned out, that this job will take a lot more time than my last one. So currently I see no way for me to become a mod (maybe we can talk about this again in a few months). But nevertheless, I want to thank everybody who nominated me; I appreciated that very much. I wish you good luck in choosing some good mods to make this place the best drugforum on the whole web (which it imho at least was, when I joined!). Added Nov.17th: O.K., I´m getting a little more familiar and comfortable with my new job in surgery now; it seems that I could spare a little time for the HipForums... Either, I could become a mod for the "synthetics" forum only (and maybe for special qustions in the "MDMA", "Shrooms", "Acid" and "Cannabis" Forums, or maybe as a substitute, when other mods go on holiday (I know quite a lot about these topics too, but RCs simply are my special passion)) - but not alone (I´d still need help, because I just cannot promise to visit the forums daily). Or I could open a completely new subforum: for this see my new posting (3 postings downwards).
dat allows levels of expertise for each forum.. thats easier then finding someone who knows everything about everything...x jus a thought
Today, I found some time to look through the threads of the "Synthetics" forum and to answer some questions, give some advice and comment some postings. This brought me to an idea: What do you think of creating a new subforum, titled e.g. "Ask the Flow" (or "Go with the Flow"? ), where you can post questions, that couldn´t be answered by any of you yet (esp. concerning biochemistry, neurology, neurophysiology, neurobiochemistry, psychology and things like that)? I would look through these questions once a week (or every 2 weeks) on a certain day (maybe on Sunday afternoon; or - if I had to work on Sunday - maybe already on Saturday) and answer those questions, I could easily answer immediately; do some research to answer the more difficult and pass the other or even more complex questions to some friends, who are specialists in drug research (chemists, pharmacists and pharmacologists, psychiatrists, neurologists, psychotherapeuts etc (some of them even professors of their special field)), who would hopefully find an answer, which I would post for you all then. This would, of course, not solve the problem of the simple questions, that are asked again and again (the original purpose of this thread), but it could create an interesting archive of very special drug knowledge (which could maybe turn the HipForums into the #1-adress for drug questions on the whole web). I would be very much interested in such a project - what do you think about it? (of course, I would need access to the mod functions for that project)
