Yeah, I see what you're saying. It was time to try something new, and yeah it's EWWW cough syrup, but it's the active ingredient I was after. I could have bought some caps and extracted the DXM to make it seem more "official", but why bother? Wading through some glucose, thickening agents and red dye was well worth the overall effect. And $4.99 for a slow ticket straight to the Dextroverse? A steal

Of course, if I had the option of ketamine I wouldn't have to be fooling around with this kid's stuff, but don't worry, I'm not going to turn into some syrup slurping Dexhead deadbeat. I'd like to revisit once or twice more (preferably with pure powder) in my life, but that's about it.

Ketamine is certainly a superior drug but dxm is not kids stuff next to it. They are fairly different highs to me more so than comparing most hallucinogens. Dxm lasts about 4-8 hours longer. Ketamine is really appealing because its more euphoric, its also unbeliavebly weird as fuck but Dxm isn't exactly normal. Just because its in cough syrup doesn't mean much, Dxm is strong stuff.

 

DXM is a strange chemical. On 420mg I had a great time. On 700mg I wanted to die, it was so weird and awful haha. I've never had the powder though, both times I used the Robitussin capsules, not that I think it truly matters.

it was a pretty good..very synergestic like everyone reports. The mdma enhanced 2cb body high while the 2cb enhanced the mdma visuals. I should have taken more of each but my girlfriend can't really take a lot of drugs or she freaks out.

 

sounds like a great trip. that's about how 2c-c+mdma/mda [the mdxx were mixed at about a 3-1 ratio]. low doses, but it was still really fun.

i greatly look forward to combining these two!

You're right.. many times throughout the day I found myself thinking "fuck, this really is some serious shit huh? Crazy fucking kids and their cough syrup." I had my doubts at first but I now humbly retract my prior conceptions about DXM... proved a worthy opponent indeed.

Sounds like I might like Ket better... mostly interested in the euphoria and the shorter duration. Although DXM was far from dysphoric or any negative feelings and overall I enjoyed the hell out of it, I was really ready to be back to normal by t+12hrs... didn't feel straight again until I woke up this morning.

 

ket is MUCH more euphoric than the other dissociatives i've tried [dxm, 4-meo-pcp, nitrous, diethyl ether if you count that]. MANY less negative side effects as well...i get such a strong histemic reaction from DXM it's not even fun for me anymore.

 

ditto, i have developed a severe histemic response to dxm . . . can no longer do it

 

i always got it to a certain degree, but my last trip on it got prettty bad as far as the side effects [it never used to bother me much, and i've still never thrown it up]... bought some DPH, and ate some before i even left the store.

Yeah, i can forget about dxm. it makes me itch all over and i usually end up puking many times. the the negatives out weigh the positives imo

Tripping on DXM always gave me some really strange side effects.
I remember every time I did it, the come up would consist of me being unable to sit still and yawning. I'd get the normal euphoria you normally get with a yawn, but at the end of the yawn I'd feel as if I was suddenly much higher than when I started.
And that's how I come up on DXM, and string of successive yawns that elevate me higher and higher until I'm tripping. I don't know why it makes me yawn or why the yawns serve as some sort of psychological trigger, but it happens.

I honestly can't even take medication with DXM in it now, because even on small, suggested amounts, that yawn thing happens and I start to feel physically ill.
