Something tells me you are right. If the deaths have been caused by bad interaction between body and chemical.. ..yeah.. some RC shit is hurtin these kids.

What MDMA can do is raise body temp. Combine that with hot weather, lots of activity, not staying hydrated and you have the makings of heat stroke or similar.
Not saying that is what happened in this case, but past deaths that were definitely related to MDMA use were because of runaway elevated temps, which can easily be avoided by being smart and staying as hydrated and cool as possible, and it is a drug that you can overdose on.
The articles don't really give much details although it does mention that MDMA use was strongly suspected.

Let's not even open the Pandora's box of adulterants and misrepresented substances.

I could never od on it. Took up to 400-450 mg (eyeballed). Anyone here OD-d on MDMA ? I mean... hospital style!
I know a person who took up to a gram once with SSRI - s in a suicide attempt, ( trying to trigger serotonin syndrome).
according to the report.. it felt like strong sickness.. but no death... and no noticeable permanent damage after.

LoL at this. a red bull feels more toxic than MDMA. It gives me mad blood pressure problems while E is one of the nicest stimulant I have ever tried.
I actually highly recommend it.

 

half a gram is sadly not an uncommon dose for experienced mongers many MANY ravers blow through a gram a night through repeated insufflation and what not. It's hard to extrapolate from LD50 in mice and gerbil but one could estimate the human LD50 at somewhere in the area of 2-5g (according to a bluelight faq). Of course this is the dose at which half of subjects die. But many more would experience other serious issues like long term depression, anxiety, and even organ failure. Certainly I wouldn't want to be around for those suicide tuesdays! >_<

It sounds like it could have been a Research Chemical or something that comes on a same medium as MDMA, and perhaps in combination with alcohol, particularly in the case of the 23 year old. Could possibly even be MDMA itself in a bad combo.

They were both college kids at Universities so it's difficult for me to view them as stupid or too wreckless but perhaps they were ignorant of some of the precautions to take with MDMA and similar types of drugs.

 

Learning how to use drugs takes years of practice. being 23 year old and studying in universities means nothing. I'm a highschool dropout. and I can roll without dieing.

Someone needs to educate people, maybe publish a book about safe drug use. No taboos. No false advertisement.
A book to teach ppl how to inject safely. And how to roll without dieing.
Or make a tv show or something....ppl need proper drug training more than ever!

 

I think people can explore drugs safely without years of practice... Some research abilities and discipline is about all that it takes imo, which I think (perhaps over optimistically) are qualities university college students should possess. Not to mention, a fairly significant percentage of drug OD's occur from practiced users.

I read another article on the individuals and I guess they were associated with a fraternity which had a lot of people going, so maybe they were getting pretty wreckless.

 

Alcohol & research chemicals. Really doubt it's MDMA. Electric Zoo & that whole crowd is notorious for the bunk shit.

He just kind of told me to walk outside with him and asked if I was interested. When I asked if it was real he offered to give me a hit for free to try, and he gave me his number if I want to get more. I don't doubt that it's good. There's no incentive to give me a free hit knowing that I wouldn't buy any if I'm not happy with it. It's WoW, apparently GDF.

As for why he approached me about it, I can't really say. I guess I have that kind of look. I'm pretty sure that I've seen the guy around at various events in the city before so he might have recognized me. He was a really cool dude. I'm pretty confident that I have another good LSD source now. There seems to be a surplus of really good stuff in my area right now.

I don't really think the guy I met was involved with the GDF, but I think it's not too far off to believe that it's the original source. I've had a lot of good WoW this summer and its always been "GDF" so I usually take it as a good sign. I'm not planning on tripping anytime soon since I dosed Friday but I have pretty high hopes. Obviously I wouldn't give the guy any business if it turned out to not be good. To be honest I'm not really in need of a new connection, but it's always nice to have.
