Psychedelic Bump XXII

^ Good article, the parts that I found particularly interesting was how the authorities are slow to keep up with the newer synthetics to hit the market so for instance they misattributed a 25I OD on 2ci. Also the article makes it seem fairly simple, for a chemistry student, to make new chems from the Shulgin chems with a significant increase in potency just by altering the amine tail.

I was just thinking last night how The Natural vs. Synthetic Debate has quieted down quite a bit over the past year.

Black Sabbath was amazing! Legends...

I met my friend C at the venue. It was good catching up with him and we got a drink, then we both dosed 5-meo-mipt. Some other guys started talking with us and we hung out for about an hour while the opening act was on. A few minutes before Sabbath went on, the guys we met offered us some weed, so I took a couple hits of weed as well. My friend C had VIP seating, so I split ways with him for the concert as I had seating up above in the lawn section, kind of hung out with one of the guys we met for the show. Ozzy still sings really well considering his age and he occasionally made jokes in between songs, my favorite probably being "Are you all having a good time??? ... It smells like it" as weed smoke was everywhere. Geezer and Tony Iommi were on point and the drummer they have is really good as well.

The 5-meo-mipt felt fairly Ecstasy-like during the show sans the strong body rushes and a few other nuances. It's strange to me how the tryptamine signature sometimes feels like it completely drops out with this one. I didn't really spend too much time analyzing the affects though, pretty much caught up in enjoying one of my all time favorite bands.

 

When I first saw Sabbath I was 15. Openers were Bob Seger and a Tennessee band called Target. Bats were flying around inside the show. Real ones not Bat Country bats. Great show. That was Jan 1977 I think.

 

That sounds like it was an awesome show GB; I was highly contemplating seeing them at one of my favorite outdoor venues near me, am now kicking myself for not!

Late bump for ~30mg bees on Saturday. Wow, have I come to really love this one, instantly became one of my favs :2thumbsup:. Found 30mg to (for now) be my sweet spot. I enjoyed a nice gradual come up during which I took a shower and blasted music. This is usually how I spend most come ups as it's a great activity to take the mind off the edginess sometimes; music of choice this time was Oasis :sunny:.

Dropped around 7 30pm so was able to fully enjoy night time and the stars, I found that I enjoy bees much more at night personally. OEVs and CEVs were great during the peak! As with my last trip on it, I noticed very bold golds and blues with eyes closed, the patterning I can't really put into words, but it has become quickly familiar and enjoyable. I love the clear headedness also, had some wonderful conversation with the gf about simple daily life as well as deep speculation signature of other psyches.

The other thing about bees for myself is that, thus far, it is unrivaled in its trailing/strobing effect! So much so that even when looking at stationary objects with stationary eyes, i would notice multiple replicates strobing around, passing cars were insanely lagging, very entertaining.

Overall I felt this trip was MUCH needed. I've found (as others have stated) that 2cb can often be a bit more lacking in the "spiritual" or "mystical" department; however, this trip induced just the right amount of self analysis to bring me out of a funk I've been in recently. I realized that I've been kinda bitchy and sometimes dickish for no good reason other than anger with myself the last month or so. I bled out a poison that had encroached on my mind and it felt AMAZING to let it go! I ended up dosing another 15mg at around the 3 hour mark which kept a nice plateau well into the wee hours of morning. The only "negative" I experienced was that dastardly pea headache I have heard porkstock and a few others mention, wasn't too bad and was probably exacerbated by drinking later at night, but what a fantastic compound! Took 20mg hydrocodone and some weed butter on the comedown and that felt great and made sleep easy. Thinking I'm gonna indulge again this Saturday for a fire we're having for a friends bday :2thumbsup: hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the tail end of summer!

 

Planning to dose 100ug LSD and 300mg MDMA Friday for a show I've been looking toward to. Ill probably drop the L and first point together and the rest of the Molly a few hours in.

That's awesome! I'd say we should try to meet up but I have a feeling that place is going to be completely packed.

 

2cb is indeed a nice one. my stash has slowly dwindled down to 91 mg remaining. i usually tend to share my psychedelics with friends and stuff, but i only managed to share two doses of 2cb (one with my wife, one with a friend for Minus the Bear)...the rest of the 500 mg i've eaten.

the headache IS fuckin dastardly though. i'm somehow comforted that i'm not the only one that gets that from 2cb :devil:
do you think that the re-dose could have made the headache worse?

interesting note about enjoying it more at night. i feel like that might be true for me as well. certain compounds feel more suited to night while others might be more suited for the day. i tend to dose during the day though, since i don't like staying up ridiculously late. i think visuals are almost always more prominent at night time.

miprocin is another one that just might be extra good at night. it sort of reminds me of a tryptamine version of 2cb, but i might be stretching for that comparison. feels right to me though. they both seem to give a lot of trails (but so does LSD now that i think about it ) your statement about passing cars trailing reminded me of miprocin for sure!
also, they both are heavy on pastel colors for me. and they seem soft and gentle while remaining fully psychedelic (though i haven't ventured into higher doses of miprocin).

at that festival i dosed miprocin around 7 or 7:30, so i enjoyed it for the night time like you did. another similarity between 2cb and miprocin - they both could stand to last a couple more hours before wearing off


lots of shows coming up and passing by. sounds like GB went to a good one.
i might go to toronto to see pinback again next weekend. and i definitely wanna go see built to spill when they come close by in november. if not before, i might try out a hit from that new ten strip then.

 

you're lucky Zedd had his Thursday show canceled instead of Friday. at least it should still be on.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if redosing did contribute to much of the headache, as this was the first time I got a headache and also the first time I really redosed it. And I agree, 2cb could stand a couple more hours of fun ideally, hence the redose though now I may just have to plan ahead on a headache, ha!

 

i wonder if 2cb + a little 2ce could give the feeling of an extended duration...

i'm also a little curious about how juicy 2cb + miprocin might be, but i don't have any plans to try it.

I met someone today who was just an automatic reacting machine. No real mind behind the eyes.
He made me sit in front of his tv. Something that didn't happen in a long time.
And I instantly felt it. This is the cause. TV is a way to alter the mind of others. To make them lazy, fat and unintelligent. To kill their dreams and hopes with the flash of suddenly changing images. Hypnosis.
I felt my heart rate and breathing slow down as I went deeper and deeper into the television trance. My brain functions, reflexes seemed to slow down and I felt a strange dullness inside my mind.
This is when the anxiety hit me. My mind rebells up. I hate depressants. And thats what the tv does.

I look at people and I see different states of consciousness.
Some are looking in, some are looking out. Some cant see through their own imagination land. I see eyes going up as their brain gives them dopamine, Pupils constricting and dilating as the chemicals structure of their brain changes.

Is there some unwritten rule about looking deep into someone else`s eyes? There seems to be some hidden social taboo... Every time I do it they think its for a sexual reason...

Edit. oh yeah here is something interesting: there is connection between the mdma buzz and the buzz you get after eating a huge meal. Both are based on serotonin and are very very similar. if you dont believe me.. try it!!

After mixing B and E (doses of each were lower than what i take of each separately) I think even adding just a bit of e would increase the duration but drastically change the trip. B + E created a trip that felt like a completely different chemical, It was flooringly intense but enjoyable.

Miprocin and B always sounded like an amazing combo. I did mix it once before but I was also on a considerably high dose of LSD, 4-ho-met, and DMT smoked towards the end so I don't really know.

This is some crazy news. 3rd day of Electric Zoo actually got cancelled because of two drug related deaths. There's no info about what drug it might be that caused them, but I have my suspicions. Here's the article.

Edit: Here's another article that suggests the cause might be something similar to molly. Something tells me that there could have been some nbome involved too.
