I have a batch of each type of 4-aco too. I ended up taking 50mg and I was tripping balls. Between the sweet tunes and the light show I didn't know if I would make it. I had an amazing body rush and felt almost like I was drunk because I was stumbling unable to even walk a straight line. Weed only propelled me further into outer space.

Took at 8 pm and 6 Am the next morning I was still high.

It was from a batch that had turned brown. Some say this means it is now Psilocin, but I don't think that is confirmed. I can confirm there was no loss in potency though.

Hey, you are acknowledging a lot more than others do and you feel strongly about it. Weed can often make one have negative thoughts and be self-conscious. It's a great tool to recognize what you need to work on but as you may be feeling, it can be a bit overbearing. I'm not sure how old you are but I feel personal growth is a continuous journey. Just keep trying and never throw in the towel. It's good how you decided to come here and share it with others.

Damn, that's a hefty dose especially for a concert. I took 30 mgs 4-aco-dmt for a concert, I felt fairly uncoordinated and swept up by the trip even on that dose, I can't fathom 50 mgs for a show.

When it turned brown was it still in powder form?

When mine degraded it turned to a brown goo. Pretty sure I threw it out.

It was a powder, now it's brown chunks, sort of like hash. You can break off a piece for how much you want. I have had this batch since last winter so I am trying to use it up. It has been sitting in a dark drawer in a plastic bag so I wonder if it just does that.

It's so sad, I have all these different chems but the only one that I let degrade on me and can't use anymore was 4-aco-dmt, my absolute favorite. It's so pricey and I don't trip enough so I don't see getting anymore in a long time :(

The brown aco I have is physically just like when I got it, it's a light tan, granular almost like beach sand consistency. Sealed, and in a fridge, it hasn't physically changed one bit since I got it over a year ago. It just never was as potent.

Ha, you said that once before Orison... funny. It does look a lot like that, a bit lighter tho.
The tan granular stuff is freebase PS. It's always felt less potent than the fumarate I have.

Mine seems more potent after turning brown. Odd

Oh well I consider myself lucky. 4-aco is one of the better RC's I have experienced I won't complain.

I've noticed the same thing about myself recently. I never just let myself sit and think, always have to distract myself with something. When I ride my exercise bike, I watch a TV show. When I wash the dishes, I bring in my computer and watch something or listen to a podcast, or something that doesn't give my mind time to wander. For the last few weeks I've tried just letting myself focus on one thing at once, let my mind actually have time to think and work instead of constantly feeding it stimulus. It seems to have helped me relax a little bit.

Try going for a long walk, sober, without bringing your phone/iPod/anything electronic. I tried this and was surprised and upset at how anxious it made me at first, to be out in the world and not connected. Now I try to do this more and more, because it can't be healthy to be so addicted to communication like that.

I am in the process of trying to recover from years of anxiety and depression that I've basically pinpointed to this very reason. I've seen it happen to a lot of other people as well, and I feel like it is a fairly normal reaction upon being exposed to the reality of the world. During the year after high school I began reading in depth about international development and the relationship between the world's rich and poor, and I became so angry at the injustice and oppression in the world that I decided I was going to make a difference, that I was going to help change things... but it wasn't that easy, and I couldn't figure out where to start, so instead of doing anything I just kept reading and let myself get depressed, stopped taking care of myself as well as I should have been, and became a miserable dick for a little while. Now I've realized that even if I can't fix things, I might as well try my best to have the smallest negative impact possible on the earth and those who live on it (which is easier said than done, when even the most militant activists seem to have iphones in their pockets), and try to enjoy myself and take care of the people around me when they need it.

I've recently started to have similar thoughts... I wonder what my wife thinks about my near daily use of pot, and I wonder if it is actually as harmless as I tell myself, or if I'm just telling myself that to justify my use. I find that alot of the time when I smoke now, I end up sitting and wondering if my relationship with weed is healthy or not.

^ very good thoughts to have. I have gone through the same questioning of weed (smoke maybe once a week now, used to be daily, feel a BILLION TIMES BETTER), and also the anger and alienation of being, without my consent, part of the process of destruction, ugliness and pain that can characterize our society.

I think when you are ready with both the will to do, and the knowledge of how, you will see that you can jump right into society and be a person that is taking it in the other direction from within, like many people are doing. You can't seperate yourself completely (without massive sacrifice/seperation from most of society), for example despite all my "perspective" and "knowing better" i still eat at Mcdonalds occassionaly, knowing how that meat is gotten and what is in their food, etc. So small day to day choices you might be forced to do things that are not ideal, but large scale you will find you can be part of a big change. the opening for you is out there somewhere, don't give up.

50mg 4aces at a concert :X unpossible! i was dreaming the dreams of Cthulhu on 50mg lol. couldn't stand or walk, just plastered against the rushing torrent of fractals and symbolism.

bump for some oral cannabis today

I agree. I do primarily want to use psychedelics in a more self healing and expansion sort of way.

I experienced MDMA for the first time last night at strip club. I don't know the dosage, I eyeballed it. It hit hard and I felt like fainting and taking a shit as soon as I entered the club, not a good start. Stomach was churning for a bit but it settled and then the huge energy surge started, I could see why this is the number 1 rave drug. I wouldn't take it at a strip club again, it felt too confining. I think I will reserve my usage to therapuetic self healing and raver go crazy and let it all shake out sessions :) :sunny:

just got back from seeing Nick Offerman (plays Ron Swanson in Parks & Rec). he had quite a few jokes about psychedelics (he said hallucinogens).

edit: yeah, it was stand up. and songs on his acoustic.
he had 10 tips for ..life or something.
    1. engage in romantic love
    2. Say “please” and “thank you”
    3. Carry a handkerchief
    4. Have a hobby or a discipline (because the word "hobby" sounds whiny and wrong)

    5. Eat red meat
    6. Go outside
    7. Avoid the mirror
    8. Maintain a relationship with Jesus Christ...as long as it’s getting you laid
    9. Use intoxicants - this is where he mentions first alcohol, then pot...then hallucinogens. he has stories about eating acid with his buddies - hilarious things like counting out change on acid. at this point i started to fantasize about having him over after the show and tripping haha.

    10. Paddle your own canoe, because he actually is a woodworker who made two canoes. he said when he in the canoe he made, paddling with an oar he made, he just felt like he was tricking nature. "bring the flood! i'll just fucking build this shit"

he also did a Q and A session at the end. i should have asked him about his most recent hallucinogenic experience (but i didn't)

All I wanted to say about this was that you shouldn't be quitting weed if you are doing it for your roomies, or out of fear that you are inconveniencing other people. Sure, maybe they don't like you being stoned and you can try to be stoned around them less often, but I don't think you should downplay your own relationship with weed based on how you think other people like you toking.

.. but maybe you don't want to take advice from a cannabis soul on this front if you are trying to distance yourself from weed.

Other than that, it sounds like you enjoyed the movie. It's a good one. I especially like the scene with Kaaba. That place has some amazing energy. :2thumbsup:
