i feel like if i was around when cannabis or LSD were being demonized, and let's say there was a forum like this back then, i'd be able to read about people's experiences with them and realize that the hysteria was, at best, blown out of proportion, or simply untrue.

with MDPV and bathsalts, they have always sounded sketchy to me. the recent news stories are sensationalized and terrible reporting, but i do think that MDPV is "worse" than LSD or cannabis.

I agree with that 100%. To each their own, and I do believe they can be used responsibly, but it's really easy to lose it on those things, and the consequences are dangerous. On top of that there's really no use for those things other than recreational (I think). There doesnt seem to be any mind expansion or personal development aspects at all when it comes to those things.

Yah I can't imagine what they'll think of these stories in the future. Letting mainstream media sources post these headlines as 'bath salts turning people into zombies' is ridiculous, it should be in the tabloids with bigfoot sightings and talking shrunken heads.

I'm still puzzled over why they suggested it was MDPV when the DEA emergency scheduled it last year. I would think a DEA scheduling of it would mean its no longer in bath salts.

    You mean with truthful information?

I don't think most moms can unhear what they've heard about it thus far.

I dont think parents are ever going to want their kids doing amphetamines, but what I'm saying is if they really want to find out, we have the internet now. Back then ALL THEY HAD was government propaganda. For the record I still think those stimulants are bad news, even informed.

And I honestly think that as the older people die off and our generation grows up, we are learning more and more that not everything that is seen on the news is to be taken at face value. (no offence to the older people :D)

I read this on my cell phone this morning and now am on a PC which I can't read it at the moment, hope this information didn't get blocked or something... But this is an intersting panel discussion on it and I highly doubt these ideas are going to get relayed to mainstream media sources.

We have a whole generation that has been prescribed adderall and vyavanse...

And yet this story which is one of the most outlandish sounding headlines has flourished, the only drug to date that has been discovered in the Miami Man's system thus far is Marijuana. So even with this knowledge of bias in the media and stuff, we still are eating up this story and much like blaming Marijuana and LSD in the past decade which were the 'great unknown' drugs of the time to the general population, we have found another drug that largely represents the unknown to demonize that has no basis in the evidence supported.

    Great Tool lyrics:

    Eye on the TV
    'cause tragedy thrills me
    Whatever flavour
    It happens to be like;
    Killed by the husband
    Drowned by the ocean
    Shot by his own son
She used the poison in his tea
    And kissed him goodbye
    That's my kind of story
It's no fun 'til someone dies

Would YOU put YOUR kids on adderal and vyavanse?

Are YOU eating up this story? Are any of us eating up this story? Our parents are, maybe...

I was thinking the same thing. I wasn't sure if MDPV was on that new scheduled list or not, but if it is then there certainly shouldn't be any MDPV left in bath salts.

Then again, if there's any drug to label as the "bath salt menace" or whatever, MDPV is a good one. As in a pretty bad drug. I know that every time I tried a bath salt with MDPV the experience was horrible and every time I tried one that was just mephedrone/methylone I had amazing experiences. All of that is based on the fact that I didn't know what the fuck I was using until afterward

I think there is a big difference between the kind of people who buy gas station mystery stimulants with no instructions or ingredients declared, and the actual research chemical community. I see the former as being wholly against the latter in many ways, and they are going to make life very difficult for us.

    .

I'm pretty pumped over the recipe peacegrow posted: Powderize dried cactus. Shake it up in grain alcohol. Let it sit. Shake it up. Sit. Pour off the alcohol into a dish and save. Repeat several times. Evaporate the alcohol, leaving highly active residue which is shaped into little submarines and down the hatch.

TM, how do you think the 151 version of Everclear would work for that recipe? 190 proof is a bit hard to find around here without a longish trip, which will be happening in a month or so anyhow.
Just wonder if you think 151 would leave too much unwanted leftovers in the mesc.

Don't know if I'd say that. You can get a lot of reading done when you stay up for a week on bath salts. Well, at least until the book your reading starts plotting to kill you

And let Reefer Madness Hysteria take two commence in three......... two........... one...................
