4-aco-dmt doesn't have that long history of use, even less than the 2cx's. I know you're partial to tryptamines tho so I was interested in your opinion especially with those incidents.

Weren't your first couple trips with 4-aco-dmt kind of subtle? Did the trip grow on you or taking a higher dose, better setting show you something previous trips didn't?

Thinking of trying a 6-APB + 4-AcO-DMT combo this Friday at a local rave where some friends are DJing. I've got crazily good vibes about that night so that's why I'm planning on dosing, despite the fact it'll be 2 days short of a month since my last roll (I'm trying to space my rolls a minimum of a month apart).

does "being partial" to something mean that you prefer it?
the only tryptamine i had experience with before this year was mushrooms. now i've also tried 4-aco-dmt and n,n-dmt

honestly, i feel like i can just TELL that 4aces isn't as harmful as 2cx. at least it feels that way.

my first trip on 25 mg 4aces was quite subtle, yes. that dose was suspect of being possibly degraded if i recall.
then i got a new (good) batch of it, and i've only tripped on it three times (~33 mg, 45 mg, and 32 mg at the end of an L trip). the 45 mg was quite a strong trip, even though it wasn't intimidating. the time i took ~33 mg it was 3 mg then 30 mg almost an hour later. not sure if that could have contributed to tolerance at all. at the time, i thought it was another subtle, weak trip, but in retrospect, i don't see it as quite so weak. i'm thinking that 35-40 mg is a good level for me.

also, to be fair, it might just be a novelty thing. i REALLY loved 2ce when i first tried it a few times, and i slowly became less impressed with it. the same thing COULD happen with 4aces, but i don't think so. i'm more careful these days about spacing out my trips. and i didn't get as many doses of 4aces as i had of 2ce.

even though it has less history of use, i trust the safety of 4aces over that of 2cx. 4aces is a lot closer, structurally to psilocin, than 2cx are to mescaline. and i believe mescaline can be responsible for redox cycling in your brain, i think 2cx also can, but i think it might be general to phens.

It's unfortunate that article doesn't state anything about abuse or overdose levels of phenethylamines, Id assume it would be different for different chemicals. As far as neurological impairment and MDMA a recent study has really called into question the supposed neurotoxicity effects. That article you linked said nothing about mescaline or 2cx and was written in 1993, probably when propaganda surrounding Mdma was rampant still but it does give ways to minimize possible damage and I guess if I get a stroke or heart problems down the road ( how old is Shulgin?) I'll know why.

I'm less worried about my mind when I take phens but they do often feel more rough on the body. Like I've yet to hear about a Mdma/mescaline/2cx version of Charles Manson or Syd Barrett or Brian Wilson so perhaps that plays into my psyche a bit.

i'm partial to LSD, which i've always considered as different from tryptamines. the only tryptamine i'm becoming partial to is 4acodmt.


my thoughts are that i'd have to dose a heck of a lot of LSD or 4acodmt, etc. to go off the deep end mentally.

but i don't think it would take as much dosing with 2ce to really fuck up my body in some way. those are just my thoughts though

 

Bump for just getting back from seeing Roger Waters preform The Wall in Portland. It was absolutely incredible! My first concert and not a bad way to start. Was sober the whole time but it was still amazing. Would have been mind blowing while tripping. The smell of marijuana filled the arena. It was awesome, even though I didnt smoke any

 

Well, the crystallization test on this ~mescaline sulfate~ was totally inconclusive. I saw some small, long, spindly clear crystals, but they had no thickness and did not resemble "shards of glass or crystal," ...these were also interspersed with big piles of white jumbly crystals, so I don't know what to think.

I think what I will do is just dissolve my whole stash in water and dose minutely and carefully. I'll start from ~10mg just in case it's something totally sketchy, and find a good tripping dose on whatever it is (still thinking it IS most likely Synthetic mescaline--but just in case).

I also still have 2-tabs remaining of the medium-strength acid. Maybe once I find a good tripping dose on the ~mescaline~ i'll try dropping the 'cid tabs with it for a combined trip.

Also planning to bring a small stash of kratom with me...I've never combined kratom w/ anything other than weed...might try taking it w/ a psych as well. LSD + Kratom = ? ...dunno, but sounds like it'd be a fun trip!

Bump. Some friends got a gram of molly to share which turned out to be heavily cut with amphetamine or something. Very weak roll.

Later on 3 of them went out in a last ditch effort to score some coke and came back with about a half gram of some surprisingly good coke, so tonight is the first time I've done cocaine. I did a minute amount. Just one very small line, but the effect from that was really enjoyable and lasted a decent amount of time.

I'm thinking the small bump of coke worked well with the speediness I was feeling from the amphetamine. It was a really good night, especially right around when I did the coke. I'll probably try it again sometime.

I know. I have alot of friends who seriously lost their shit on coke. Personally I dont even get it. I honestly dont see that big of a difference between drinking lots of coffee and doing coke. Just this morning at work I drank way too much coffee and I was at my desk listening to fucking loud music just wanting to circle pit in the office and I was telling my co-worker I felt like I was on blow haha.

 

Not so much mad as disappointed that a show coming across as a reputable documentary had bs like that in it. I suppose someone on the editorial side of it thought 'it came straight from the DEA, it must be true'.
We all know how honest and accurate DEA info is.

That is quite a first show. Didja take your girl? It's not clear if that show is coming around these parts but im interested, mostly having missed the original and it does look like quite a spectacle. I have mixed feelings about that guy though, leaves me sort of jaded. A major talent however, no doubt. Glad you had a great time.

Roger Waters was on 60 minutes last week talking about The Wall Tour. Looks like a pretty spectacular stage show he's got setup. Respect for him going out on tour approaching 70 too.

 

I saw him during his Dark Side of the Moon tour a few years ago. It was pretty freakin fantastic. The only problem was, it was one of those shows where I got too fucked up and don't remember half of it
