Psychedelic Bump XVIII

i've got a bunch of lanterns and flashlights so i'll be okay on that front i think.

i'll hopefully be taking it around 6/7pm so i'll get a little bit of daylight hopefully.

Drawing on, and taking into account, the strength of every blotter I've ever had:

One could be almost nothing, and two could be a lot but won't be too much.

One could be plenty, but it's just as likely it won't be. Properly dosed acid is enlightenment on a square..... Just enough to realize, and properly feel, some important things, like the fact that you're not sane, the world is interlinked, fine tuned chaos..... The interconnected nature of people, and how powerful it could be..... But that's usually more like two or three, especially if it's WoW.

I'd take two.

I'm really wishing you well, eggs. My first acid trip was one of the most important days of my life. Still quite undecided about this supposed mescaline powder. My friend and I are going to try and run a few solubility tests and see if we can re-crystallize the mescaline sulfate from distilled water. If it doesn't recrystallize as expected, though, it doesn't necessarily mean it's NOT mescaline sulfate (if I understand Shulgin correctly), it could just mean it's slightly impure. Some synthesis byproducts might just be present or something. Obviously I prefer a positive outcome on the crystallization test, since a negative outcome would not necessarily mean anything one way or the other and would leave me just as confused as before. I leave in ONE WEEK. Got my playlist picked out for the drive (it's about 15 hrs from where I live to where I'll be working). Downloaded "On the Road" on audiobook, also going to listen to The Mighty Boosh radio series and lectures by Alan Watts. I'm excited.

 

Yeah I'm leaning towards two now. I'll probably bring two and see what feels right once I get the campsite set up and such.

Is it possible that you might have nBOME-mescaline? Thats way easier for me t get nowadays than mescaline HCL

 

i doubt that anyone can tell the difference between 100 ug and 120 ug. and to make it into an overlapping range (100-110 NOT 110-120) just makes me think even more that it's bullshit

they are probably 80 ug if you're lucky

It's supposed to be mescaline sulfate, not HCl. I suppose that it's possible that it's nbome-mescaline, but if indeed it's NOT mescaline sulfate it might just as well be any number of things.

Maybe you missed my brief mention of this but, is there a reason I'm missing behind this wanting to mix/dissolve/recrystal this mescaline?
Why not measure out amounts, store it in the best possible way, and not have to wonder about the outcome of the various tactics that have been mentioned?
It seems like the variable outcomes aren't pinned down, and you're not sure what the result would be, altho keeping it in it's present state is probably what you would do if you weren't leaving. Is there something about being on the road and then in the wilderness for a few months that makes it less desireable to just keep it as is?

Yeah, I'm now less concerned about the storage/dosing procedure and will probably take your advice.

The solubility/crystallization tests are intended to insure whether it is in fact mescaline sulfate. If it dissolves and fails to dissolve in the substances that Osmond says one can expect, and if it forms crystals from distilled water in the way one would expect, it would greatly increase my margin of confidence that what I bought was, in fact, synthetic mescaline. If it does not behave as expected, it would lead me to believe that it is something else.

 

Ah gotcha, I guess I thought the recent convo was about how to store it for the summer and traveling. Didn't mean to encourage you to not do that, I recalled awhile back about your storage concerns and thought this was an extension of that.
