Psychedelic Bump XVII

you don't post very often, but every time you do it makes me think more and more that i know you from another life...

 

Besides EDC, Coachella, Ultra, Camp Bisco, Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, and the newly formed Buku; What are some other big name festivals? I feel as if I am leaving some out.

I am starting a savings account for my festival plans for next year. May try and make PAX, ComicCon, or some other video game/SciFi convention too.

Lovefest here in SF (it might be called loveevolution or some shit now) its just one day but its fun, the day event is free or really cheap and its djs spinning in front of San Francisco town hall, night event is like a massive in price and usually with big name djs. Tons of afterparties/warehouse raves/clubs/etc. Usually some parties preceeding the day of lovefest too.

We also have outside Lands which is more of a jamband festival.

Electric Zoo in New York is EDM

Underground Sound which is at Camp Zoe is Edm, don't know where that's at but it used to be a rave in a cave, I think its moved above ground now as its popularity has.

I hear All Good mentioned here often

Edit: I just checked out lovEvolution and it's $25 now, that's kinda lame. It was free just a few years ago. Still got some good DJ's playing during the day : Glitch Mob, Pendulum, Jes.

 

ah yes i knew i was forgetting allgood, now isnt burning man over? i mean perhaps they will do a name change or something, maybe change the location? nothing better then cheap/free shows. starscape is over 150 dollars which a lot goes to police protection. camp womp a lotta is decent. kinda of big, at least a few hundred people and in the middle of nowhereeeee surrounded by hills dont even think it costs 20 bucks, maybe 10. and man i love the womp. hundreds of acres of unused land, well besides partying anyways and HUGEEE fires. maybe this year the stage will be on a more level place so people arent dancing on a hill again. love the fire jugglers and hoola dancers too

 

Am I possibly the only one not to have seen any of the matrix films ??

wowwwww seeing this when it first came out as a younging really uh changed my perspective on things. the first one really spoke to me. i see it all as very feasible.
if you plan on watching them all in a row have some tylenol handy lol

Yah the first Matrix was pretty spectacular in the theaters, the 2nd one was a bit of a disappointment and confusing as fuck. I feel like if I saw it again a couple more times it'd make more sense but unfortunately I did not enjoy it enough to want to do that. I never saw the 3rd one in theater but I remember it being pretty action packed.

 

yeah pots a given lol hmm i found the third one most confusing. the second one he meets the creator of the matrix and all, i thought it was going to be destroyed though. i wouldnt say a disappointment, but i mean certainly not better then the first even though it had more action. i mean obviously they were going to have a hard time following the first one ;p

 

I actually lost a bit weed the other night I emptied rubbish out my pocket on the way home from a friends into someones bin....i suspect i lost it then. That or it's in my room somewhere.....

 

I've never seen the matrix either. It's one of those popular one's I've never seen...like the wizard of oz.

I'm glad you mentioned it though. It should go pretty well with some MXE tonight.

City of God is sweet.

I didn't like the first Harry Potter's too much but I forced myself to keep going and I really like the more recent ones. Haven't watched the last LOTR yet.

I watched a little of Apocalypto but didn't finish it. Gladiator is another classic I haven't seen but I do have it.
