Holy shit, the 2nd time I dosed 2c-e, my friend that I tripped with said she felt like a cat and was, for a time, walking around on all fours. I've never felt that myself, though.

CFS, glad you're trying to kick the junk. I'm trying to send you all the good vibes I can muster.

Well I did go ahead with my 2C-E + LSD + weed dose yesterday. 20mg of 2c-e plus 1 tab of lsd (also licked out the inside of the baggie the tabs were in), and a small bowl of weed. I was solo and it was a daytime trip. I will write a full report in my journal later. Regarding the question of the tolerance and turnaround from Saturday's trip, it was as much as I wanted and more; I didn't feel robbed of any experience due to tolerance, in fact I was shocked how much I did feel; of course there's no way for me to know how much BIGGER it would've been without the tolerance going. The factors in my favor were that it was a new cocktail (I hadn't done ANY LSD on saturday), and it wasn't a back-to-back turnaround, there were 3 days in between.

That was my last trip for a couple months probably.

Thanks to guerrillabedlam and superpsychme who kept me company in chat yesterday when I was feeling the peak was too intense. Solo trippin is still a new art-form for me, so the availability of a social element on this website actually helped me out yesterday.

I'll do a write-up with all my recollections of the psychological and hallucinatory aspects later today.

I'm pretty excited for today and the rest of this week. I came up to Colorado to see my mom and my sister and her boyfriend flew in last night. It's going to be sunny and in the 60's all week, so nice! This afternoon we're going to this really small old mining town called Cripple Creek. My mom has to do some work while we're there so me, my sister, and her bf will most likely be vaping in some random place with a beautiful scene. Then I have to take some pictures for my photography class....this is like the perfect place for that, it has such a cool style.



And it has a bunch of casinos, but I'm three months short of 21

Wow I had an interesting dream yesterday where I received like a 'travel pamphlet' and in this pamphlet was Mdma, Dmt, and bk-Mdma and under the title of each chemical was a sample and like a bunch of fine print that I did not bother to read during the dream. I basically sat there and examined the samples. The dream had sort of a relaxed summerday tone to it and there were other details I don't recall and Of course it was slightly disappointing waking up without that pamphlet but I've been having a lot of eerie dreams as of late and that was a good change of pace.

 

Yay! One of my poppy plants has begun growing big and fast! 1/10,000 seeds is good for me.

 

raga, i'm interested to hear the details about your combo with 2ce and LSD. i'm surprised you took a whole 20 mg in the combo, but i know you were banking on some tolerance... do you have much of an idea how potent your hit of L was?
did you dose them together or what was your timing?

the only psychedelic combo i've ever done was 19 mg 2cb + 1 really good hit of L immediately after. i was really fun and strong, but the LSD really overpowered the 2cb. if i were to repeat i would take more 2cb and maybe less LSD. 2ce i've always been interested in combining, but never did so with LSD because i don't want the gut ache and body load to taint a perfectly good LSD trip. i got a crazy bloody nose while on that 2cb + L combo, really gave me quite a scare for a few near eternal seconds or minutes

there's just been a few disasters around here lately, i don't really wanna be the next one. but i don't want a lackluster trip either.


WRITER, i'd like to hear about the time you took 50 mg and lost touch with reality or something of that nature. that can be a good thing, or maybe not so good. just wondering what i might expect.

 

Yeah exactly, the high dose was intended to combat the tolerance. The more I think about it, the more I think the balance was actually just right. I know the hits of L are somewhat substantial...two of them had me absolutely tripped-out in January.

I could see both substances manifesting in the visuals: the rainbows of 2c-e (I've seen rainbow colors on LSD before too, but...not so intense), and the moving/morphing/flowing/breathing elements of LSD. Of course the visuals were the smallest element of the trip...

I dosed them pretty much simultaneously: held the LSD tab under my tongue while I measured my 2c-e, swallowed it, then immediately drank the 2c-e in a glass of OJ.

Didn't feel any gutache or body-load in my psychedelic bliss til the end...The negative aspect was the intensity of the come-up; I started worrying how much I'd taken and I just had my eyes glued to the clock, thinking that after 2.5 or 3 hours I could feel confident that I wouldn't come-up anymore.

In fact, I'm a bit pissed at myself. I didn't take the proper care with set & setting: I WAS safe and secure, but I also had to work the next morning and there were a few other things that might have cropped up. I missed the magic of my whole peak because I was worried about surviving the peak. I had been cavalier because I thought I would have a cushion of tolerance, but apparently three days had been enough for at least a slightly-fresh start: even on the come-up it was going to be a BIGGER trip than Saturday's, not a smaller one.

Honestly porkstock, those WILL be heady doses if you've not tripped much recently--&this is coming from ME…please take that at face value. If you can handle DMT hyperspace you can handle aces ego dissolution.

On another note is anyone here going to Rainbow Family Nationals this year? I want to very badly!

 

My knowledge is primarily in hospice, so may not apply to your line of thinking. What was discovered some years ago was that ~90% of people with cancer could have their pain managed on regular doses of morphine or (in the UK) heroin + supporting drugs and treatments. And when, in some cases, the specific etiology of the pain was eliminated, e.g., tumor size reduced to relieve pressure on a structure, people could stop the medicine and experience transient and not overly distressing withdrawal symptoms.

The point is, people not prone to addiction seldom become addicted.

My sense has long been that people prone to addiction (from whatever complex biochempsychosocialspiritual and luck and other issues that may exist) are more likely to become addicted. And, not so weirdly, more than a few people being treated for pain are there as a result of drug-related accidents or lifestyle issues, directly or indirectly.

i haven't tripped for 5 weeks, other than DMT. my brother hasn't tripped for over 7 months, and he's only tripped 3 times on juicy doses of LSD.

i think i'm looking for a "heady" dose, but what exactly do you mean?

 

It's hard to estimate in hindsight what the dose was. After some more deliberation I now think that her dose was 40-60. It said "40" when I weighed it, but I noticed the physical volume of powder seemed larger than i thought it would be, and when i removed the powder and reapplied the tray to the scale, the tray's weight was off by ~20mg. I should have remeasured at that point but I thought that whatever extra miprocin I had given her would be appreciated given her SSRIs. I was right, in a roundabout way

The set of the one making the doses is as important as the set of the one taking them lesson learned

I'm surprised it only took you 60mg and not mixed with anything but yes honestly man even my 30mg took me for a tour around the universe in my head and was truly amazing, deep, beautiful, truth.

I wouldn't think so, but you never know "mental breakdown" is too strong a word. I realize I haven't given descriptions of Voluptas behavior but suffice it to say that a lot of my reaction to her behavior was because I myself was extremely faced, and am pretty emotionally devastated and compromised from the recent losses in my family, and just generally a wreak. Getting much better, it's a process. I've learned a lot about grief, which has taught me a lot about human nature and myself. It's been a trip.

Her behavior wasn't a breakdown, it was just an extremely strong psychedelic experience, like ++++ visionary stuff, just unexpected, which can be scary, especially for a concerned observer who is unable to be told what is going on in his girlfriends mind, and is forced to watch her meet God, the devil, cosmic awareness, collective unconscious, etc

For me at the time, and for Volupta at the time in her trip, the subjective experience is absolutely balls to the walls orgiastic, euphoric, blissful, ecstatic, explosively beautiful beyond words. It's only distressing to the observer who is not on the same level. You simply become impossible to communicate with. Your thoughts are so strong that they interfere with the verbal dialogue of others. Physical trails of emotions drip from you. It's wild.

I ask for information, not to be argumentative:

Why aren't you counting DMT trips in your timeline. DMT is a serotonergic tryptamine, is it not? Would it not produce tolerance by the same mechanism as all the others??

This is all so spot on for me, and likely why I'm high virtually all the time. Strange enough though I'm also a cocaine prone addict and alcoholic tendencies are there too, I've even gone on several year binges of both but have reduced my use of both considerably and have the power to stop. I rarely seek either out. True enough too in my case I broke my back in two places and my neck in one, my sternum, left collar bone, and several ribs plus cracked my skull wide open and suffered temporal lobe brain damage and like Phineus Gage am no longer the man I was before the car accident that not only fucked me up for life both due to that plus having taken one of the loves of my life from me; our car accident that sent the driver to prison for a 4 year stint of which she served 2 on good behavior was an accident that was a direct result of a run to TJ to cop some benzos, booze, and ketamine. So I actually fit the archetype you've described TM.

What I mean is that those are both stiff, powerful doses for anyone including me. I've had some trips on aces that blasted me sky high at those doses; the same goes for metocin. Just dose a bit apart from one another so neither of you peak at anything other than an overlapping timing and that way you can take care of each other if a freakout happens.

 

4-aco-dmt and 4-ho-met are probably your best best to have a trippy good time with your buds.

25I-nbome is pretty interesting, I've only explored it a couple times and it's not been a trip I'm completely enamored with mainly because I was somewhat caught off guard by it's intensity and strangeness but I can't deny it produces a very interesting trip. The closest trip to LSD prolly.

2ct2: It's a pretty quality trip, probably my favorite 2cx to play music on, it's got a very interesting mindtrip as well. 2cb and 2ct7 are also highly recommended although they are explicitly scheduled.

5apb/6apb: They are Ecstasy-like but slightly more visually trippy than MDMA, they can also combine with each other and other psychedelics beautifully.
