Psychedelic Bump XVII

Oooh! Just discovered that Zed's Dead is playing AGAIN in another city close to me this time with Knight Riderz and AraabMuzik. Happy Happy Joy Joy! 2012 has been the year of badass concerts! I'm loving it! I've got Shpongle with Phutureprimitive, Flux Pavilion with Cookie Monsta, MartyParty with High Top Kicks (If my DJ friend lands the gig opening for them), and Felix Cartal coming up in April and May. So many badass shows this year! 2012 is definitely the year of awesome concerts! Can't wait to see what the summer and fall have in store. I know Bassnectar will be coming back around, excited for that!

Thanks for the warm sentiments all. This event has me shaken to the core, and comes on the heels of an immensely life-altering trip. On St. Patrick's Day at a friend's house I dropped ten drops of LSD then watched my friend spill the vial on the carpet where in an effort to salvage the acid I placed my palm into the spill and licked it then did that twice more. Later I dropped 350mg five parts MDMA, four parts methylone and one part 4-EMC with another cap of 50mg methylone later and a 10-15mg line of 25I-NBOMe. I rapidly became incoherent and detached 100% from ego and reality so much so I first seized for the first time in nearly ten years and had to be revived, and upon awakening in the ER after an overdose on ecstasy I popped five caps full of MBDB without really realizing the gravity a change in neurochemistry had taken place from my megalithic dose of LSD. I still had dilated pupils two days later in fact. I got what I wanted from psychedelics, for now. Closure. I will not touch shit like crack or smack again. There's a whole beautiful world out there and I knew upon awakening from my detachment I was permanently different, and am. You simply can't go that deeply inside the psyche and not emerge completely twisted in two. I've cheated death, imprisonment, a drug rap thrice over, and experienced enough excess for a while, p0ly can keep the torch lit.

This was this last couple days cosmo? this is shocking for me to hear. You're certainly advancing the field on researching how far these substances can be taken. It's kind of amazing you can survive this. Please be more safe, I guess? Idk what to say.

Give Phutureprimitive a listen if you like Shpongle. Check out the song, Changling, I posted in the TM thread. It is absolutely beautiful! They are sorta Shponglish and kinda dubsteppy electro psy goa happiness. I LOVE them. Their album, Kinetik, is pretty amazing.

Speaking of 311, they are playing twice soon. I have seen them once a long long long time ago. I wouldn't mind seeing them again. Who knows, I may.

Cosmo, Sorry it took such a scary experience to cause such a revelation. I hope nothing like that ever happens to you again. Keep your head on straight and try not to overdo it anymore.

 

I'll take a closer look at Phutureprimative, apparently they are playing with Simon at alot of his stops on the tour. I sort of wish they would not keep billing him as Shpongle, as it is really just Simon spinning Shpongle stuff. If the show doesn't include Raj, Pete and the girls, it aint Shpongle!
Ott are doing a few shows as well I see, too bad not more. It would be groovy if Simon would do some events with Younger Brother, Ott, etc. Seems there would be a big demand.

This tour is actually 'Shpongle - The Masquerade' I am not entirely sure what it is going to be, it's not Shpongletron and I know it's not the whole band. I'm sure it will be Simon spinning but as far as the stage show goes I am interested to find out.

YB with IM would be the shiznit! I would love to see that. I saw IM a couple years back and they put on a great show. The turn out was poor but I think if they were to come back now with the Electro scene blowing up as it is in New Orleans right now it would be a huge success.

When I saw Shpongletron last year there were very few people but everyone at the Zed's Dead show was buzzing about this upcoming show so I am sure there will be lots more people this go around. Hopefully it won't be overrun with 'Bros' and 'Broettes'. They really have no concept of PLUR and are mostly moronic disrespectful asshats.

On another note, I seriously attract the most fucked up in the head psychotic people. For fucking crying out loud!

 

Yah I hear that about Shpongle.

Infected Mushroom live is a really loud, raucous and fast paced show I think it'd be a stark contrast to something like Ott, something like Hallucinogen or 12,000 micrograms would flow better with IM.

311 is one of my favorites. i would love to see them again, but i don't think it's gonna happen on this tour. one day i'd love to go on the 311 cruise!

a friends band just got booked to play on Saturday at a pub near my house so I think I'm going to skip the Lucy this weekend. we'll probably eat mushrooms instead, and do it in the morning.

I wanna see shongle I'm in the NY area, and I wish I knew the right people over here cause i can't even find lucy or shrooms and some of you can get that plus a shitload of research chemicals. I've tried 2ce and it was most intense trip of my life. I'm a big guy 200 pounds and I looked down at my big ass leg and it was as skinny as a twig. Fun night but I sped face
