Hey, good to see ya. Are you home again?

Ya, it's an interesting book. A bit clinical and not really written for amateurs like us but good stuff none the less.

I don't really like coheed. there's a few songs that have some jam quality but meh. I saw them live at a circa show in denver once.

Me too man. You know it's gonna be a good experience when it hits hard like that, IMO. I love that suprise. Especially after tripping so much sometimes I feel like I lost that magic.

no, circa actually opened for them. I passed out from standing up too long and then hitting a blunt while they were playing. Freaked everyone out.

It upsets me when they have to open. They were so awesome tonight (and opened as they usually do). This guy just melts my heart with his powers. Keep on giving them a chance, they can change your life. It's a weird thing to hear for some people but it just hits so hard and always changes direction. The pitch and melodies this guy does. Damn! He's my favorite person in the world. Favorite band since I was 13.

No Voyage, not home yet, but on my way home. There in 4 days, more or less.

Sometimes the drug gods smile on you my friends. Thought all I would have for my epic voyage home would be some joints (a bit less than an eighth) of really crappy weed. A random almost-stranger just dropped a beautiful HUGE nug of great weed on me to supplement my supply. No idea what strain it is (clearly outdoor-grown though), but it is dense, hairy, sticky and smells like a mixture of a pine tree and a lemon! HEAVENLY! It will be a pleasure to use, NO DOUBT. :)

Have you ever head of saosin? I think he started out in that band.

I find that he is really psychedelic in his lyrics with circa survive

popularity, do you find it kinda funny for you to go to shows where you are most excited for the open band? i kinda did when i went to see the dirty heads open for matisyahu. and i was surprised cursive was opening for minus the bear (was pumped for that)

and i almost went to an O.A.R. concert just to see Rebelution open, but now they are on their own tour

I know, right! At least it wasn't from ecstasy or something like that. I get so tired from standing at shows. All I could do was just shrug.

I adore Saosin. Their Translating The Name EP is my favorite work from any band ever. Saosin - Lost Symphonies
I agree on the psychedelicness of circa's lyrics (moreso on their first two albums). That's one of the things I like so much about them. The lyrics are just all these vague lines glued together that you can make into whatever you want.

not really. it's only happened a couple times. once I went for the main band too (mae in 2005 along with mutemath) and coheed is someone I can respect and dig live.

now you have me listening to the album ''On letting go'' by Circa Survive. Hadn't heard that one in a while. It's funny how you say that ''all these vague lines glued together that you can make into whatever you want''. To me that album is obviously psychedelic. I mean what else can the song "Mandala" be about?

Dance with me for I'll be leaving soon.
    Afterbirth on the keypads overwhelm
"Did he who make the lamb make thee?"
    Help me find its origin.

In a cartoon house, in a cartoon car.

There are cities buried underneath our cities
"Let the people be free...let the people be free"
    It's all around us.

Dance with me for I'll be leaving soon

    Afterbirth on the keypads overwhelm
"Did he who make the lamb make thee?"
    Help me find its origin.

In a cartoon house, in a cartoon car.

There are cities buried underneath our cities
"Let the people be free...let the people be free"
It's all around us, it's all around...
"Let the people be free...let the people see"

We so obviously had another hand and oh so separated

How do I act like I've made this when I... when I...
When I so obviously had another hand.

Dance with me for I'll be leaving soon

    Afterbirth on the keypads overwhelm
"Did he who make the lamb make thee?"
What happens when we reach for each other?

    Anthony Green = Genius

Would love to hear an Anthony Green rendition of House of the Rising Sun.

Just got done watching season 4 of S.O.A. lol... always been a favorite song of mine...

Guess it's kinda fitting, for those that anything about me, in a stereotypical kind of way. lol

I dunno, first of all the album is called ''on letting go'', which is a really important part of tripping, and then the fact that the song is called ''Mandala'', which is spiritual/psychedelic symbolism in almost every culture, the part about the cartoon house and the cartoon cars, ''there's cities buries underneath these cities'' about the fact that there's more than meets the eye, ''did he who make the lamb make thee'', asking if he is is made by the hand that made all and everything, ''dance with me for I'll be leaving soon'', it's not like he's dying or anything...

Just the vibe of the whole thing feels psychedelic to me.
