I've tried this absinthe once before and had to share.. I didn't get a full experience, but really wanted to try it again. I had to fix my friends glass piece to make moar!! This time I would like to drink a whole bottle to me and my love, and have a bottle set aside in case we want to open it as well.

My first experience, I felt that I would rather drink it than any other liquor again in my life. I got color enhancement and all around positive vibrations from it. We caramelized our sugar cubes, I really liked that better than just watering it over. You get a crunchy yummy goodness at the end of every drink.

Nah, unfortunately. This was my first Shpongle concert. Simon was pretty legit with his set, though. Both my friend and I really enjoyed what he did. Really cool to see him in person, and the visuals were incredibly stunning. He pulled it off amazingly well considering he had neither Raja nor a full band. I really hope he continues playing for as long as possible.

Safe place finding psychedelic-minded people, too.

Though I don't see the hype at all with the opening act, Phutureprimitive. There wasn't much variation going on throughout that guy's set at all. Even the freelance DJ who went before him was more interesting. Meh.

Totally still worth it to go out of your way to see the new tour. No regrets when it comes to Simon. Just make sure to bring extra money for scoring the good stuff. ;)

I saw a Shpongle DJ set a few years back and I was impressed as well. I was a bit unsure how Shpongle would translate into a Dj Set with their sound relying so heavily on the interplay between the electronics mixed with the organic instruments. I found Simon is incredibly adept at pacing his sets and his track selections.

Good to hear, I can't imagine it being disappointing. I was fairly blown away by the quality of sonic yumminess last year but the full band experience was even more.

I've been fortunate enough to have my own "accessories" both times, not so sure I would want to do otherwise.

But indeed, very good peeps at a Shpongle show.

Bump for an amazing Saturday with 25b-NBOMe. Deffinately my favourite 25x-NBOMe now, if not farourite psychedellic.
Had the most euphoric trip I've ever had watching the visualizer on the xbox with Animal Collectives 'Centipede HZ' playing, and also haven't laughed that much in my life, even with LSD.

    Top night. :2thumbsup:

yeah I heard! I have a green thumb though so I should be cool. Someone on dmt nexus was talking about putting the seeds in straight perlite until they germinate. Weird stuff!

my cacti are doing wonderful. I just wish they grew faster :2thumbsup:

also would like to check out if it's possible to grow b. caapi

Glad to see a fellow Animal Collective fan up in here! People barely know about them in these parts unfortunately, and even if they do, "Centipede Hz" seemed to go over people's heads.

I personally love the album, and to me it's a psychedelic masterpiece. Perfect album to trip and get lost in.

I also highly recommend one of their earliest albums "Here Comes the Indian". It's their most experimental. Pure acid. Definitely sounds like they were tripping. It finally clicked for me when I heard it on Lucy.

I'm generally not an RC guy, but it's good to hear you had a fabulous trip. I scored some tarts at Shpongle, but I reckon they were LSD. Plus MDMA beforehand. Mmmm, the vibes.

I'm quite new to animal collective I must say, and this was the first time ever hearing this album. The trip basically revolved around the music and the visualiser, and the visuals of the room blended in with the visualiser, we got totally lost in the abum and visuals and didn't even realise it had played through 4 times.
Got a huge feeling of everything being right, and working perfectly together, it was incredibly intense haha!

The avaliability of lucy in my area is practically none, so started trying out some of these RC chems, and I've never had a more meaningful or fun trip than on this 25b-NBOMe trip.

    Stuff is crazy.

    Intriguing...

Do you mind going into a bit more extensive detail at least about your dose and the trip duration and maybe why you preferred it to the other 25x-nbomes?

bump for my brother trying salvia. sounds like he didn't smoke it quite right to breakthrough, it could have been poor quality salvia extract, and he was 7 beers in when he tried it.

and bump for this awesome book i'm reading. was outlined by Robert Heinlein (one of the best sci-fi writers ever) and written by a younger sci fi writer (Spider Robinson) after Heinlein died.

it's about a ship that sets off to a new planet several light years away. they will travel for 20 years ship time (~85 years earth time...they are going ~97% the speed of light).

    SPOILER!

the fucking Sun just exploded and they got word that it happened, so they and a few other colonies like them are the last of the human race - the solar system is destroyed.
    end spoiler

there are some heavy 'psychedelic' themes in it. maybe i'll quote some:

this is when he's playing the saxophone to someone he promised an original composition. it's after a tragedy where a couple people die and the dude he is playing for is very depressed:

"i forgot everything i knew about composition, retained what Zen people call beginner's mind, acquired once again the might power of ignorance. i shut down most of my brain, except the part way back by the stem that knows how to make a sax work, and gave control of it over directly to my heart. i learned what i was going to play at the same moment he and the others did: as it emerged.
if what i played had had lyrics, they would have had to be "Fuck Death," repeated in every human tongue ever spoken."

probably loses most of its effect out of context, but there you have it.

Check out Otherland by Tad Williams, Pork. Seriously good PLAUSIBLE scifi 4 part series. Read the wiki for more info. Those books blew my mind and kept me on the edge the whole way through and they are pretty long books. That is saying a lot considering I have ADD like a bitch.

Just finished watching the first season of Sons of Anarchy. Soooo hooked on that show. Wanted to watch it when it came out but was too busy and just discovered it on Netflix.

Taking 6apb for the first time Oct 6th for the Pretty Lights concert. Can't wait. Just saw Figure and AC Slater last Thursday, did what was suppose to be 300mg of MDMA but I am guessing it was half that. Had to buy off the street but got a friend discount so it's whatever. I rolled pretty smoothly, it was better than nothing. That show was hardcore as fuck. Never ever experienced anything so sick and fucking brutal! Danced for 6 hours straight! lol

It's the vine they use in ayahuasca, it's a MAOI (monoamine oxidase inhibitor). It's an anti-depressant, basically. There's people on DMT nexus who seem to have good results from it...

"Centipede Hz" was a brilliant choice. I've been pretty nuts over it myself, and was bumping it on the way to the Shpongle concert. Listened to some tracks while I was tripping, too. My best friend can't get the song "Rosie Oh" out of his head.

I would totally recommend "Here Comes the Indian" and "Hollinndagain" as the next step for any future experiences. Animal Collective at their most avant-garde/improvisational. (People who've only heard their pop stuff from "Merriweather Post Pavilion" are in for a shock.)

Heck, their whole catalogue is like a hidden goldmine for psychedelic music. Their EP's like "Fall Be Kind" are pretty essential, too, IMO.

Glad to hear we both had some awesome psychedelic experiences over the weekend. Thanks for sharing!

5-htp gives me nausea for some reason. Sometimes I feel like saying fuck it and just going on an SSRI. But SSRIs are shit drugs and psychedelics don't work while you are on them :(
