will be trying my first dose of temazepam sadly only got 20mg so will throw in some diazepam probably 20mg just so i get some sort of high.

Not off the street but I have been well acquainted with the amtizzle for years now It's one of my favorites. My first summer of introduction to RC's I did amt every single weekend for 2 months. Lots of people here know it and love it. LOVE it! It gets a bad rap, and has been somewhat unfairly categorized in the olden texts of psychedelics as essentially a 12-24 hour vomit fest with headaches. The reality of it is that the body load is random; sometimes you will get heavier nausea and headaches, other times you will get basically no complaints at all. I feel that due to the longer length of the experience (~12 hours) and the slight MAOi nature of it, the body load is simply dependent on what sort of stuff your body is going through in the preceding day and day of tripping. So if you eat a lot of junk food and aren't feeling so hot in general the MAOI won't help you and you might feel poopy. I can tell you it's been greatly exaggerated either way, I have dosed dozens of times and vomited zero times, even mixing with lots of alcohol (and ketamine, and pot, and all kinds of foods, also undermining the aMT/MAOi dangerous connection that is often assumed. Personally it doesn't feel anymore of an MAOi than 4aces or anything else.)

As for the positive effects of the compound, my favorite dose is ~35mg, and with this one, less truly is more. this dose is like being on something like 1g of good mushrooms that takes 2-3 hours to kick in and lasts a solid 12 hours. Another way I can describe it is like ~100mg MDMA that lasts 12 hours. It is slightly trippy but is definitely the most clear headed tryptamine. It is the amphetamine of tryptamines (amphetamine = alpha methyl phenethylamine, aMT = alpha methyl tryptamine), and just like the alpha-methylated PEA is a super functional and long releaser of dopamine/serotonin, so is the alpha-methylated tryptamine version.

It's also pretty damn cheap and hard not to trip over an AMT source on the net, so I encourage you to check it out I know you don't partake of cannabis so make sure you have ginger around for any transient nausea that usually goes away after the 3 hour come up.

Because aMT is such a good natural potentiator, lasts so long, and is so relatively "hollow" (or rather, just has a kind of psychedelic "core" to it without bells and whistles), it really shines when mixed with things.

Along with LSD, psilocybin mushrooms, and DOM, aMT was the other big giant in the 60s psychedelic explosion.

I think I have a hang up about getting into long trips that are something of a 12hr+ nature. I still have a bunch of 2Cp that I haven't even explored cause I never have a good mindset about the time frame. It's silly really but there ya go. I recently revisited "Magic Trip" and there is a scene where they have an AMT trip and in the commentary they call AMT "the cadillac of psychedelics" and describe it as a mellower LSD. I've read up on it a little and appreciate your view on some of the negative features, ya some of that gets overstated but we're all different. I think when people talk about nausea for instance, some people might have worse reactions than others. I've never had a bad nausea episode on anything, even shrooms. PS get's headaches with 2Cb. I guess I'm just lucky that I've never had anything like a headache on anything. But then again I don't get the visuals that lots of others do so..

 

12 hour trips are a bit much for me too, San Pedro can take me 16 hours to come down from. i seen 'Magic Trip' a few days ago, i do remember mention of Ken Kesey securing a bottle of a rare psychedelic but I didn't think it was AMT....will have to look into that.
