Pork, wondrous. I wish you luck. Doing LSD with my lady was one of the most profound moments of our relationship :)

That video is also one of if not my favorite video related to LSD/psychedelics. That "normal housewife" is so exquisitely elegant in describing it! Real zen answers to everything.

well...she seems to need/want a lot of convincing, which i'm not totally comfortable doing. she's worried all about health effects, does it make her a bad teacher? will she have a bad trip? will she have flashbacks?

i give her all the standard reassurance, but i dunno....
she read a little online. it said "LSD users can experience strong fears, etc etc" but i point out that they can also experience a serene feeling of overwhelming joy and peace :)

she wants to take the smallest amount possible, asked if i can cut one in half. but i don't think cutting a microdot in half is feasible. i must have mentioned to her a few times how strong there dots are, so now she thinks they are too strong.

if you guys have any advice for her, she'd love to read it. she just went grocery shopping, and i'm gonna head to the record store and buy some CDs. when we get back, i think we'll dose around 3:00.

so throw your advice up here quickly! :)

    Well if she is concerned about health risks you could browse through this;
    http://hallicino.hubpages.com/hub/M...he-Extensive-Damage-LSD-Does-To-The-Body-Mind

I know it's a lot to read, but it is full of real clinical studies and a bazzillion links.

Damn, it's been almost two years since I "debated" that moron, and he never did come up with his "irrefutable evidence" or his "Dr. friend" to set me straight.

Was trying to find a specific recent study and risk assessment that was done in order to start clinical trials with LSD for the treatment of cluster headaches. I will keep digging around for it.
Essentially they came to the conclusion that based on prior studies and current evidence, the likely hood of a person having a lasting negative effect from LSD was less than 1%, far, far less. It also mentioned that a number of patients that they followed up on that participated in early studies in the '50's unanimously felt that the experience was one of the most beneficial of their lives, even those who had a "bad trip" initially.

Why not give her half then wait an hour and give her the other half to prevent any anxiety or fear that may arouse during the comeup. The first time i dropped was 300 ug and the comeup was pretty intense. Maybe too intense for some. idk what dose your dots are but you could dissolve the dot in water and give her half the glass then wait....

Seems you set out with positive intent and focus for the trip. The setting will be good, no negative health effects I can think of, doesn't make her a bad teacher, past experiences to draw upon, very minimal chance of a bad trip at one dose.

Dosing like that is a waste of material. All you are doing with the second dose is prolonging side effects mostly. Not only that, but low dose psychedelic experiences are often the most uncomfortable. I think it would be much easier for someone to eat 300ug and be blasted into lysergia within half an hour than to eat half a hit and struggle with weak ego loss and loose disintegration for hours and hours as they "half-trip".

Ummm . . . . what? Why the hell not? Are you the same porkstock that has logged years of his life on this website devoted to sharing the wonders of psychedelics?

I convinced the hell out of many people in my life, just open your heart and tell her what it means to you as a human being, what doing LSD has brought to you in this short time we share on terra. What could she gain? Everything. What could she lose? Basically nothing.

Would it make her a better teacher? I think the better way of phrasing it is that LSD would make her a teacher period.

Don't gloss over the bad. Yes, LSD users can experience extreme fear. So can people on roller coasters, and astronauts, and people undergoing hypnosis. Any experience that is on the edge of scientific understanding and human history is going to be truly profound, truly shaking. This is not an experience that is full of sunshine, butterflies, and disney theme songs. This is the real deal. This is the doorway between your consciousness, your unconscious, and the "outside world" bursting open with an energy that is more profoundly natural, genuine, and authentically pure than anything I have ever come across in my life, except love.

She is either ready for it or she isn't. If she thinks she is ready for it but is hesitating because she is afraid to feel uncomfortable, I submit to you that she is probably not ready. Do astronauts delay going into space because they have butterflies in their stomach? This is a true journey into uncharted geography, both inner and outer.

Realistically, for someone with a sound mind and an intelligent way of thinking, LSD is going to completely turn your world upside down and teach you that virtually everything you have learned up until now in your life has been wrong, backwards, and idiotic. It does not mean you're going to quit your job and join the circus. These changes are far deeper than say, the way you look at the concept of money, although those are the sorts of things that will change. You will still be able to continue your life as it is heading, without changing anything, if that is what you wish. But what is likely is that LSD will show you many things that you can do differently, better, healthier, saner. There really is no greater medicine for the human condition, it is like chemical fertilizer for maturity.

One thing I have heard often from people's first [significant] LSD experience is that coming out of it, they feel they have aged over 10 years mentally. Not in a bad way, in a sense of maturity, an assuredness about who they are, a clarity about a vision of their future.

I could keep going but really if all the information out there on the internet, like those actual video documentations of normal people taking LSD and having one of the most important experiences of their lives, if all that stuff still doesn't make her want to do it, I submit that this is not her time. I really, really hope it is :)

Good luck to you both, and see you on the other side :)

just to be clear, she's done it several times before.

so i didn't want to have to convince her A LOT, because she already knows what it does. i think her nervousness is exactly what you said writer - she doesn't want to feel uncomfortable. or at least not TOO uncomfortable. i think it's a fine line between fearing a bad trip and having butterflies. it's often hard to tell the difference.

she's already a great teacher, with or without LSD. she took it back in college though, like i said.

haha, she actually JUST said "alright, let's do it" so here we go. 1 microdot each at ~3:45

    Bump for 2ce and kratom.

Just harvested the second flush of my pf tek this morning, and it more than doubled the first flush. I'll post up the dry weight when they're dry. I will never use brown rice flour again, wild bird seed all the way. I used to average 11g's per pf tek using brf and I got almost 9g's on my first flush this time using wbs. It might go over 30g's total even if I don't get a third or fourth flush.

BUMP!!!! For splitting a quarter of mushrooms with my 2 cousins! We did our best to divide it up 3 ways haha.

It's my one cousins first time EVER tripping, and my other's first time taking Mushrooms (he took LSD about 4 times).

I'm already feeling "something" and a little spacey.. we only ate them 5 minutes ago.

    Wish us luck!! :sunny:

that's awesome to hear pork; also awesome that you were potentially faced with having to explaining/persuading her to join you and that was solved with a simple "let's go" on her part, sounds like a fine, open-minded gal you have. Glad it was enjoyable (at least it sounds so!)...bit jealous, would love to find these microdots in circulation around here haha
