Psychedelic Bump XIII

This NYE show is gonna be HUGE! The set up at the show Thursday was insane and this is gonna be their biggest yet. That shit + MDMA had me in a state of pure euphoria. I was rolling harder than ever because the music was rocking my body sooo good!

 

Have any of you ever pre-loaded with 5-HTP? Is it worth it?

 

Diplo, Dirty South, Felix da housecat, Duck Sauce? and tons more are playing a massive in Southern California on New Years. I prolly won't go I usually prefer Undergrounds but I've never been to this particular massive and I've heard it's pretty amazing.

Well it looks like we're gonna wait until Tuesday to dose the 2ce, which is gravy. Maybe we'll be able to round up a couple of our friends who've never tripped before, if they're down for the ride

Dude.....do you know anything about pre-loading with 5-HTP or L-Tryptophan?

 

5-htp is a serotonin supplement, many use it to help with crashes when their serotonin is drained, so I know many dose it after their trip. I'm not really sure what the advantage of pre- loading with it is and I have never really used it myself.

 

That sounds badass as well.

 

Oh well, maybe I won't do it then. I'm still gonna try to do some research, just to be sure.

 

aMT + MXE was amazing the other night

I was having cool cev's with the aMT alone. Later when I decided to add MXE I just wanted to lay down in the dark listening to music forever. Shulman is the true master of making sounds. I listened to some Nothing Lasts But Nothing Is Lost by Shpongle too. The MXE made the cev's get so intense but I never felt anxious or super trippy during it. It was just an amazing light show and a deep meditative state. My eyes were kinda twitchy afterwards because I think they kept rolling to the back of my head and darting back and forth like with rem sleep.

 

The way I understand it...

L-Typt ---> 5HTP--->Serotonin in your CNS. You get L-Tryptaphan in many different foods but 5HTP really isn't in any. Your cns converts L-Trypt into 5HTP and then into serotonin. So what GB was saying is the common use, helps with recovery from serotonin effecting psyches like mdma. I take it a couple of times a week to help with my sleep problems (which is work induced) but I've never pre-loaded.
May I encourage you to exercise caution, perhaps not go that way at all even? I don't know much about how delicate that chemistry is but I do know that having serotonin imbalance issues is major bad news. Be safe man.

I find it interesting that serotonin is a tryptamine. It's also called 5HT or 5 hydroxytryptamine.

I've heard it's good for comedowns, but I've also heard it can increase the effects of serotonergic drugs. Reports vary though, in regards to an increase in effects. I'm not worried about the comedown, as I find the 2ce comedown to be quite pleasurable.

 

Hmm I've never heard of it to potentiate any trips. Where'd you heard that?

I take it after substances I feel to alter my brain chemistry substantially. Particularly 4-FA, methylone, or ecstasy. I definitely need it for the coming week after mdma (major depression) but I haven't had that in over a year.

 

It makes sense that it might potentiate a serotonergic substance but that may just be intuition. But at 200, do you really need that? Seriously?
I don't think it's as much a help with comedown as it is next day recovery but I doubt there's much facts on either.
