I have read about this and told him about it, Kratom too. When I get some more Kratom in I'll let him try it. It helped me with withdrawals and craving. he saw that first hand.

I gave him some Kratom tea but he hasn't decided to use it. He takes the advice of his poorly informed and educated friends before me. The things I have heard him tell me that he heard from his friends have been ridiculous.

He hangs with gangsta wannabe white kids and it blows my mind some of the things they come up with. I wonder where the fuck they get their information from. It's insane.

 

Do a search for Ibogaine treatment. It has one of the best records of success in the treatment of opiate addiction. It is a psychedelic, but not necessarily a "fun" one, but one hell of a teacher.
Seriously, read up on it and see if there are any sources near you. Not legal in the U.S., but Canada and Mexico have treatment centers that utilize it. Supposedly opiate addiction can be overcome in 24-36 hours.

I was thinking about ordering some but the online reports seemed to be pretty negative overall.

If you're trying to have him kick a habit and especially without the supervision/interaction of a trained professional you need to dose him high with whatever you decide on.

I will test the waters and see. I'm not going to force him into anything he isn't ready for. sparked my interest enough to bust out my copy of PIHKAL. weren't the TMAs some of the first chems Shulgin synthed? either those or the ALEPHs, i can't recall.

in the commentary he mentions all these possible "pseudo" compounds. like instead of 2ce, "pseudo 2ce" with the methoxy groups at positions 2 and 6 instead of 2 and 5.
pseudo DOM and pseudo 2ct4 were actually made. looks like they require a higher dose, and he mentions that they're harder to synth.

anyways, you should tell us more about your experience. not many people have probably tried that one.

GM if his addiction is bad you can't be all nice and gentle about it. You got to be stern like 'Look you have a opiate problem, I'm trying to help you with this heavy dose, I can't force you to take this psychedelic but I think this psych and this particular dose will benefit you and your addiction, it may not be all rainbows and lollipops but it's for the intention of getting better. We will go to so and so area so you can really internalize the experience for awhile.'
