nice! that was my first dose with 2ce, and i thought it was perfect.

i was just re-reading some scientific articles about RCs and saw that AMT was the strongest releaser and re-uptake inhibitor of monoamines (serotonin, dopamine, adrenaline) in rat brain

funny that it's described as a mild trip, but has some of the strongest effects on the brain

it released monoamines as strongly as meth.

point is - i'd be weary of mixing it with much of anything.

also, 2C chemicals are metabolized by MAO...but that might be "old news"

would that mean we should watch our diets before dosing them? as in limit foods with tyramine?

No, the tyramine diet is recommended for MAOI's.

^^yeah, but anything that is metabolized by MAO is an "inhibitor" of sorts. not really, but i mean...if you ingest 2ce AND tyramine, both are being metabolized by the same enzymes, so you have a chance of overloading them

i wonder if that could have something to do with my PEA headaches...

I rarely eat during 2cx experiences and frequently don't eat for awhile beforehand. I've not heard a single report of problems involving 2cx ingestion, food and any sort of serious illness that followed, so I'm not too concerned with it.

I have had a full tyramine rich meal from Chili's before while on 2cb tho and did not suffer any headaches or anything.

I always fast (well, coffee) beforehand. Never headaches but then again I don't get them.

    But damn...

I heard the coil, inside the relay, inside the refrigerator, going bad. Thats so f-in otherworldly.

I can't wait to dive into my 4aces :) it's been too long! That one packs a whallop but remains gentle somehow.

Pork the strain on MAO from food sources is very minimal, and the amounts of 2c-x ingested during a trip are tiny as well. However you're right they are broken down by MAO, which is why 2c-x + maoi = bad bad bad. In fact any PEA + MAOi = possible death.

I'm not surprised aMT was found to work like that. I believe it releases as much if not more serotonin than MDMA, just spread out over more time. It certainly FEELS a lot like amphetamine, which it of course is the tryptamine analogue of :) I'd say 35mg aMT feels like 20mg d-amphetamine or so, very comparable, of course with a touch of mushroomy weirdness :D just enough of the flavor of the T.

I didn't see much of that series but don't you guys have Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee, and Cole Hamels? That's an all star pitching staff, I don't see how anyone in the National League could beat that rotation in a series.

Well, in my experience serotonin is the equalizer chem. It makes everything more dull and calms everything down.

Now I just wait for the flaming, with stories about how mdma is so great and what it does...

If it's a regular thing perhaps you don't produce a ton of serotonin, way more psychedelics other than MDMA effect serotonin.

Perhaps you respond to endorphins more and that's why you like dope.

We do! Halladay did good in the series, but Lee and Hamels had trouble for some reason. We broke our franchise record this season for most wins in a season. We had like 103 wins i think..i was sure we were on our way to another world series. I just don't understand... lol

Yeah, there are a whole lot of subtypes of serotonin receptors for sure that are activated by a shit load of interesting chems. But as for serotonin itself it is calming, think of pure mdma or an ssri. They calm you down a bit. SSRI's even though they don't activate the receptor itself decrease psychedelic effects (weather or not the binding affinity of the psych is higher or lower than serotonin).

At least thats how I view it. Unless you can change my view logically!

(Btw, a lot of psychs are stimulants not because of serotonin. But because they also activate dopamine n epinephrine)

"LSD affects a large number of the G protein coupled receptors, including all dopamine receptor subtypes"

"In addition to serotonin receptor activity; Mescaline also stimulates the dopamine receptors."

"[DMT]It has also been shown to possess affinity for the dopamine D1, α1-adrenergic, α2-adrenergic"

Point is, the excitatory effects of psychs are not from serotonin or their activation of the receptor. At least this is my conclusion from the above logic.

Sounds good enough for me, MDMA also stimulates dopamine as well.

i enjoyed it...but it was weird watching it while tripping

    made me feel infected

the movies can sorta make me lose track of time of day regardless, but tripping it was even worse. i walked out expecting it to be a wintery night, and it was like 80 degrees middle of the day

then we went to pet smart to get cat litter, and i got really sad looking at all the cats up for adoption, and the reptiles in tiny cages...i had to get outta there. came home and gave my cat some love
