Why is the Shpongle show gonna suck without benzos? Do benzo prevent the seizures or is it a side effect of withdrawal?

 

One thing I started to say in the psychedelic explorer's guide thread is that depending on what a person's scene is, the person is likely to see things from that perspective (not exactly a breakthrough concept). The people into psychological healing focus on that and those into spiritual healing on that and it's almost like there's nobody losing their mind or just being fucked up. Not hardly! It's a big tent, like that mansion with many rooms, where it's all good (unless it's a problem), truly, with love and respect.

@ GB: Its a side effect of the withdrawal because I have been on them for over a year. Migraines are also a side effect of w/d.

When I did the little 100mgs of molly Monday, I felt anxious as hell and just plain unsociable, restless, and generally crappy. I think for this show ill just skip the molly all together, try and find a benzo to stave off any w/ds for the day so I'm at least not miserable.

 

Damn that sucks, and sad you'll skip out on the molly for Shpongle.

I have officially lost all interest in benzos, sounds like shit.

 

I really need to get off them. They don't much help my anxiety too much anymore and I can't get high off them but I HAVE to take them so I don't get rebound anxiety which is a million times worse and stupid seizures. When I go back to see my dr in july I am asking him to start weening me off.

 

This post makes me both really happy and really sad, and really pissed off too that to be unsad I have to wait another couple years for a fuckin' lab. This means: No DMT or Mescaline extraction, no 2C-x synthesis, no MDMA synthesis, no GHB/GBL synthesis, and what drugs I do have left, I have very few of. Actually! It means no more growing my beautiful peyote, no weed growing, and no shroom growing or adding shit to shrooms to make them full of miprocin or metocin. ARGGH!

My favorite shows on just got cancelled, SGU and Caprica, they're slow bringing back True Blood, that new BSG show is so far off in the distance you could cry, there's not a single good Star Trek other than that newest of the bunch that's been cancelled for about a decade, what was it called, Enterprise? Yeah. And BSG ran its course, did it well, and it was a somber day to know that it wouldn't be around anymore. Firefly, Dollhouse, it's looking like Eureka, Warehouse 13, and likely Sanctuary will all get the axe.

I guess most folks in their 30's and 40's watch this kind of stuff 'cause the Neilson Ratings rates the demographic between 14-20something.

Don't even get me started on my books, they're all fantasy, sci-fi, existential, transcendental, comparative religion, political (like Howard Zinn and Noam Chomsky style), and books of that ilk. Kafka is probably my fave author. How 'bout your fave author Spicey?

I give this post a ++++ even though it makes me a lil' bleary-eyed.

Best bars in the States are in 1) NYC 2) NOLA 3) SF... have you been to any of the clubs that serve beer and shit like that, but have comedy and music events too? The Piano is rad for that (saw David Cross, Louis, tons of greats all at The Piano)... then there's this faux white trash joint called like something really kitchy, there's The Library too, damn! Almost forgot that one! That is bar none thee best NYC joint in Manhattan!!!
Then take the L to Williamsburg and hot damn there are there some fucking rad nightclubs, bars, and mixing joints. Places where like Moby, Squarepusher, Fatboy Slim...they'd all be doin' their thing there at one such mixing joint on like a friggin' Wednesday (probably going on tonight). Then the quality of indie rawk at those places is outta this world, like The Clientele or Clinic just doing their thing on a Wednesday too. NYC doesn't wait for Friday or Saturday, every day is a party there!

Fuck, there were so many times I'd drink myself silly and get all amped on coke (even from this mobster joint that closed called Kokies or Cokies, but it had to do with the owner's name or somethin', uh-huh, yeah. A bar you go in, get a 3 oz. beer, sit at a short table surrounded by mean lookin' goombahs, and whichever one of you with the cash is escorted to a room, shows the dough, chooses a baggie, does a line, and then you immediately are escorted OUT of there...weird place and scary too; unless you're a Brazilian cokehead dancer who can do the Rumba!

 

The bar scene here in SD is actually pretty amazing as well, too bad that's not really my thing.

 

d00d, you never seized 'cause you were only barely addicted, not like her and me. If you take your meds as prescribed, for the most part, you avoid tolerance, addiction, cravings, and all that shite. Like you, you'd eat a bottle of Xanax in like 4-5 days and then just smoke out to get sleep the rest of the month. After a while, you developed a real addiction, but not a bad one--and not all benzos cause seizures, but all benzos prevent them. Like with my Adderall or Ritalin, I don't like it much, so when I've got it, I'll take it maybe twice monthly to cop a buzz for a few nights in a row. The rest of the month I've abstained always, and I have no speed addiction. But opies and benzos, since I either shot the dope, whether alone or in a speedball, or just did my pills as prescribed, I developed two nasty addictions I doubt I'll ever break. I bet if I go homeless again, it'll come down to stealing cars and doing B&E's for stereos and flatscreens to fund my dope and benzo habits, or, I'll get into a methadone clinic and get a doc aware of my insatiable urges and withdrawals, and gimme some benzo or another to augment the methadone since it ain't quite as euphoric as horse. But you take a Xanax bar or a few kpins, drink your alotted methadone, and they say the combo is almost just as good as smack.
I've said it before, but I personally prefer shooting 24mg hydromorphone or more, or shooting oxycodone. Shit, even a good cold water extraction of a bottle of Vicodin or Percocet will put you in the best of moods...that is the best shy of smoking copious amounts of opium. You smoke that, and then wonder, why the fuck invent all these whacky drugs to replace this??? Then there's paragoric, an opium tincture, and the major one, laudanum, the tincture you'd take a teaspoon of every five hours or so all day and be on the perfect nod for days on end. Then they did invent for teething babies a great syrup, heroin!

Indeed. The only time I made my script last 4-5 days when I was getting my blues was the only time I got any withdrawal symptoms, aside from increased anxiety. I always get increased anxiety after hardcore xanax binges.

 

Ya know what is a really good combo that is prolly really dangerous? Oxycodone and mdma. Took 60mg of oxycodone at the 3rd or 4th hour of the mdma and I was SO fucked up. It was like a speedball with super euphoria. I call it the rolling nods.

 

You'll like mixing mxe with MDMA, disassociatives become way more euphoric with mdxx.

I'd like to try oxy or H at the end of MDMA once.

 

It really caught me off guard. I assumed the oxy would kill most of the roll but they synergized beautifully.

I can't wait to get more mxe and give that combo a go.

Because its not like my brain doesn't hate me enough already. I really gotta get off this shit man. I'm flippin out over here. Thank god for possibly liver killing zanaflex. :| fuck me...

I had a doc (she's a saint, still is and always will be) write me a script for marinol so that at my pain clinic where Mary Jane is the red-headed stepchild they wouldn't give a tylenol to if she came in with a limb dangling from ligaments (assuming Mary Jane was a person... hehehe, someone oughta make a Pinnochio type story where Mary wants to be a real stoner and know what it's like to smoke herself, lol). Anyway, marinol is fuckin' SO SPENDY!!! Six round pills with that liquid in 'em cost over $200, so I spaced 'em out over a good year and a half.

Funny thing about marinol is that it's schedule 1, but they rearranged the THC molecule so that the ONLY affect you get is improved hunger and the sleepies.

@GM: Wait a wha? I thought you traded MDMA for those tix, how are you still going? The 9th is eight days off, so far you've had mild to moderate seizures, but with kpins, you can have just ONE Grand Mal and die within minutes, stroke out, lose brain functioning, all kinds of lovely shit. Then I've got sources for all of etizolam, phenazepam, and flunitrazipam, aka, roofies. Phen, I can basically consume 30-70mg and get a nice buzz, and it's pure, but though it'll calm my nerves and get me sleepy, it don't get me high. I bet roofies are the ONLY benzo with the potential to really fuck my shit up. You think it's worth the challenge to see that if I order something if anything will happen or if I'll simply have a seizure, anxiety, paranoia, insomnia free several days, maybe few months?

 

I wonder what it would be like to jack some smack, pop some rolls, snort some k, and drop acid, and take a swig of GBL altogether? Think you could even walk, talk, or act even anything resembling normal? lol

So with this smack/Molly biz, that can't be a good one for nightclubs and dancing?

 

I've done acid, a roll, Shot K and done a few swigs of GBL within 7 hours in that order. The 2 beers, hookah hit and weed hit included can substitute for the smack.

I was definitely in a really good place with the acid, E and K, The G fuuuuuuucccccked me up proper. Not as bad as the girl next to me who someone spiked the crown royal she was drinkin with G though.

 

Cosmo: Nah I got the molly to take at the show but I'm not now. Not feelin the way I do. Monday the molly made the symptoms SO much worse. I'd rather just be sober and deal with the w/ds. Hopefully I won't get all strokey or have a gand mal and die. That would be shitty!!! Which is why I'm just getting off the shit and ill deal with my mental problems alone. At least THEY won't end up possibly killing me. I'm not suicidal or anything.

 

You should've left that Molly alone on Monday and saved it for the show Going to Shpongle sober? I think that is actually illegal in several states.
