That is rather odd, I find one of the strongest effects of Bee is the body sensation, though on my last trip with it I had a HIGHLY visual experience (vines bursting through the walls and tribal tattoos forming on the faces and surfaces of everyone and everything around me in real time) but I wasn't noticing the body high that much. I think that was due to set/setting though, I was with a group of friends setting off fireworks and having fun. If I was lying along in my bed listening to music I'd probably be much more aware of the orgasmic Bee body sensations.

Man I feel the same way about that song, it's got such a great beat but SOOOOOOO corny because of the lyrics it's my least favorite shpongle song EVER . . . too bad, awesome beats.

 

That's the great thing about Shpongle, alot of their songs don't really sound alike. I can't think of one that is like 'I am you.' I think that song would be epic on a candyflip even with those lyrics.

Post Bump for 5/6 apb combo last night. One of my best solo at home empathogenic/entactogenic trips I've ever had. I was all about the music last night and discovered tons of new songs as well as listened to some of my favorites.

r and b is usually not what I listen to while rolling but this sounded amazing, I think it was just my altered thought process but I swore this song was mainly about ecstasy when I was listening to it. It does say the word ecstasy in it once but listening to it sober I'm not so sure it's about Ecstasy.

Well the thing I dont know when he legitimately needs money to buy groceries or help pay off a bill or when he just wants to get high. He quit smoking the real green a year ago or so after he was caught with paraphenelia so even if he did get caught there would be no legal troubles. Now though since the shit is finally banned (idk how the fuck hes still getting it though) and i think possesion of the fake stuff actually carries more penallty then real marijuana i dont see why hes still buying it, especially when from what ive seen it cost a whole shitload more then cannabis too for a much shorter high.

ive decided to dose 20mg 2ce shortly after i wake up tommoroww, Hopefully be able to do some hard thinking regarding our relationship among other life issues.

I swam in my apartment's pool early this morning while still tripping a little and watching the sunrise. It was my first time swimming in that pool and I've been in these apartments for 10 months. Actually now that I think about it it's like the first time I've swam in like 3 years. I'm so glad I did. :2thumbsup:

Man whenever I plugged 2c-e last night I could feel it within 2 minutes, visuals after 5, and tripping within 10. So fast.

 

I went swimming last night. In the biggest art-deco swimming pool I've ever seen, and the water was music, all over me.

 

I'd love to go swimming while tripping; especially in a pool. I haven't been swimming in years though.

 

Swimming while tripping is awesome. I used to love to get high and then swim it was badass, especially when smoking weed was more novel to me when I was younger. I haven't been swimming in a while either, its really hot right now though so I wish I could right now.

 

i think swimming in the ocean or a lake is cooler than swimming in a pool.

when i tripped on my cruise, i went in the pool 5 or 6 hours after dosing. so i was coming down, but i feel that swimming made me sober up a little. like my sub conscious knew my body needed to concentrate on swimming and breathing.

 

^I had the same issue except in the ocean. It was still a blast. I have a pool but haven't swam while tripping yet. I plan on relaxing in there, gazing up at the stars on 4-Acetoxy-DMT... mmmm.

 

I think, for me, it would depend on the substance/trip. If I was having a calm and serene trip on something like 4aces, then a pool would be magical.

If I was having a chaotic, skull-fuck of a trip, like on a high dose of 2ce, then the ocean would be awesome with the waves crashing hard on the beach in the middle of the night or something.

 

Thanks, bro. I haven't really explored more of Shpongle yet because I just got my laptop fixed but I listened to the entire Ineffable Mysteries album and really dug it.

I can't wait for my beach adventure. The sound of the ocean, the salty gulf breeze, the warm sand between my toes, letting the waves wash over me, and staring out into the blue infinite. It's going to be amazing. Especially as the day is turning into night, being able to see the lights on the oil rigs off in the distance and the brilliance of the stars because it's nice and dark out there. I can not freakin wait!!! I have never tripped on the beach before, just smoked a buncha weed.

Sometimes they have these little bitty crabs that make holes in the sand. They are so cute. They will burrow down into the sand and poke their heads up and watch you. I'm sure they will be interesting tripping.

I kinda wish they would like you make a fire on the beach. There is one place that isn't patrolled that we may be able to get away with a fire and actually camp out. We will just have to see when we get there. If not we are just gonna get a hotel room off the beach for the weekend.

I have been wanting to go camping but all the camp sites here suck bad. They are ghetto as fuck off a shitty rivers. The best one is the Percy Quinn state park. Half of it is in Louisiana and the other is in Mississippi. They have nice cabins and stuff. They also have nice cabins at another place not too far from where I am with piers jutting out over the river. It's a false river, used to be a part of the Mississippi.

There is also another place I have been meaning to revisit. It's really long nature trail with 20+ beautiful waterfalls upstate. They have a primitive trail that runs straight through the woods that not many people take so it would be pretty secluded and the woods are nice and not full of underbrush like they are further south. You can't walk through the woods down here without a machete and you still get tore up by briers and thorns and sucks for anyone that is allergic to poison ivy/oak/sumac. Not to mention the bugs. Damn spiders, I hate getting a face full of spider webs. Red bugs, mosquitoes, ticks, leaches, deer and horse flies, ect.

On another note, I have been thinking about smoking Salvia. I will have to pull some strings to acquire it because it is illegal here but that shouldn't be a problem.

 

Saturday night may be the hardest I've ever tripped. At least inside my head. A bit about the setting. The Wiltern is a famous LA landmark, built in the 30's in the art-deco style.

Trivia, I went to school with a guy who's uncle was famous for painting and restoring these kind of interiors and he did The Wiltern. The guy took over the family business restoring churches, theaters and the like. Seeing the painting, especially up close, was very impressive.
I avoided the lineup to get in as doors opened by stopping by a friends place for a few. She was having a get-together which is why she had to bail on the show. Got there an hour or so after the show started, haggled with a scalper for my extra ticket ($5, I don't think so) and went to get patted down.
Guy said, "you're gonna have to drink this or throw it away", the bottle of 5hr energy I souped up with ~33mg of 4aces. As I was stuffing everything back in my pockets he turned his attention to the next guy so I just walked on, I didn't want to drop till later. The entrance lobby is amazing. Looking up, this is what you see. (I would have liked to have a good camera but I knew they weren't to be allowed.)

Went in to check out Random Rab... towards the end of his set. Was ok, sorta chill ambient downbeat sorta stuff. There was a break and I went walking around, checking out the peeps and out to the smoking area. Rapped with a few mellow folks. Everyone was pretty low key, mellow, and seemingly straight. (mostly)
EOTO started up and I grabbed my seat. Decided their first song was a good time to drop, hoping to be peaking when Shpongle started. I'll skip talking about them because tbh, at times they were good, at times they were so f-ing chaotic, it was like being tied down and having my aural senses raped. The come up was interesting tho.. expecting to feel
those first clues, I never really did like when in a more serene place. It was just almost like all of a sudden... "damn, I'm tripping hard! The music was such an assult it overwhelmed the come up until it was impossible to miss. There were times during their set where I wanted go get air. But it became a challenge, could I hang? I mentally fastened a seatbelt and rode it out. After the set, I went walking around like most everyone. It was clear now that I wasn't the only one tripping. Nearly the entire theater was... navigating the crowd, various disoriented people and couples, the aura that EOTO left was one of pure confusion and slight desolving of normal human interaction to where you could tell a large portion of the crowd was trying
to "maintain" and nearly everyone was. I only saw one "difficult experience" and it seemed well handled. A girl had her guy holding her in the middle of the lobby, in a sea of people, comforting her and telling her "I know, you're safe, its ok" ... as I passed by. I wasn't the only one that found EOTO
almost too much.

Shpongle was starting, I found my seat, (with no difficulty) fired up a stick
of patchouli incense and strapped in. Random Rab I discovered, wasnt using the full audio system. EOTO cranked it up. But when Shpongle got going I really could tell just how phenomenal the acoustics were in there. Where EOTO just assaulted you with volume, Simon co-opted the acoustics as another tool in his reportoir. I lack the vocabulary to describe just how almost perfect it was. Plus I was probably as dead center of the entire
auditorium as possible so it was balanced. I have a decent 7.1 system at home but holy crap...The best I could describe it was like being in a bathtub or pool, bathed in sound. I could literally feel it cover every inch of me, as if my whole body was an ear, taking it all in. The bass throbbed up from the floor of the mezzanie, which moved with the rhythm of people bouncing and dancing, up through my legs
to my chest. The treble would tickle my head and hair, and dribble down over me. The stage, nothing spectacular but still engaging, you can see it on youtube but the lasers in the theater, bounced off of dozens of mirrors, in dozens of colors, and various shapes, filled with ganja smoke. Vari-lights
along the top of the stage, along the sides, and above, nicely used and not over done. Simon whipped the crowd into a frensy of psycedelic hedionism that filled the room from the floor to the 60 ft ceiling and I imagined if you could see the outside of the building, it would look like a throbbing, buldging
box straight out of Cool World or Roger Rabbit. If one harnessed all that energy it would have powered the city all night.
And added to that incredible interior... it was at times other worldly. Ineffable.

another side. To give some perspective, the bottom of that frame is still about 15 ft or so above the heads on the floor.
Lastly, on the way home I paused at a famous LA landmark. A memorial to Wm. Mulholland, without whom LA wouldn't
be what it is without the water that we steal from N. Cal. So much so, they put in a big ass fountain to show it off.
Still, its impressive. Especially at 3am, in the afterglow of that trip.

Sounds like you had just as much fun as I did. That show was unforgettable for both of us it seems. Glad you had a great time! That venue looks awesome. The HOB is pretty small but the sound system is top notch. I enjoy the small venue environment for some shows and the Shongletron show was perfect. The way you described the how the music felt is spot on how it felt for me.

 

Very cool... ya your posts about your time got me amped for going too. I think it would be a disservice to Simon to not have a top notch system. Some of his set was so expansively deep, mult-layer upon layer.

I know the trypts dont work good for you, esp 4aces. I had to be a grown up and do what I knew was best, not what I wanted to do which was L. I would have been wandering around LA all night waiting to come down, the trains and busses stop at midnite on sats. (wtf?) I've not tried B, but I'm glad it was the right choice for you. I knew if I did 2C-e that I'd miss parts of the show having to hit the head. Since I didn't drink a thing all night, I didn't have to do a thing but rock out.
PS. after the set Simon said the whole band would be in San Fran (but didnt hear when) so they may actually do a limited tour this year. The dj set was amazing, but the full show must be mind-melting.

 

If the full band comes anywhere near here my butt will be there. That would be pretty cool. Especially if they were to play the N.O. Arena.
