It is the best boat. I love the autonomy and the solitude. It can get lonely at times, but as you mentioned, cats exist. My cats are closer to me than most humans. We genuinely hang.

lmao was just randomly reminded of my lil bro when he took B for the first time exclaiming that he was feeding his brain. This is a boy who knows nothing about psychedelic culture or Tim Leary, Terrence McKenna, or anything of that nature. Just funny.

 

Something I learned long ago is the power of perspective. There you are, being there for a family member entering their final chapter. That says alot about you as a human as well as the people that are not.
Hang tough GM and know that karma is real and you are on the good side of that equation.

i'm currently at quite a "zen" state in my life, where i'm very comfortable and therefore (like you said) i don't have too much to worry about going into a psychedelic trip. but that doesn't mean i need to combine 3 powerful psychedelics, two of which i've never even tried. i guess i can never know what the future might bring, and in ten years i might be pushing the envelope much like yourself. but for now, i think it's obvious to you guys, that it's not quite my style.
i'm also aware of the whole mind over matter thing. i've used that to an extent with 2ce - like thinking "this is not gonna make me nauseous" and it usually doesn't...the troubles with 2ce come later for me (feel like shit after i come down), and i don't think it's solely because my mind is "under" matter

@marblegallery: It didnt go to in depth as to what the shows like but it said one of the Shpongle's partners on a side project is going to join him for some shows, so if you see Promethus on the lineup too try and catch his set as well, His stuff is pretty good!

 

Oh, it's apparent that you're not one to push the envelope quite the way that I do, & porkstock, I am not trying to push my views or philosophies onto you. I simply stated what I did about the zen state of one's life as general rule about taking psychedelics vs. not taking them. It wouldn't matter if I were in a bad place whether it was a 20mg dose of 2C-I or a tenstrip of cid, I wouldn't take either in a bad place in life. My point wasn't to use that measuring stick to measure the amount, number, kind, or combination of psychedelics, big or small in any way, just that especially when pushing the envelope, you'd better be damned well prepared. The fact that you're not interested in going to the levels I am interested in going to further reinforces my stance, you shouldn't do it because you're not ready. Maybe like you said in ten years you will be, like me, but now in your life, calm, collected, & rational (which I have always taken you to be) though you may be, your lack of desire would simply force a situation that you probably wouldn't be ready for. IMO you could handle it, but why push it if it's not your bag and/or you're not ready? It's just my opinion man, but you doing what's best for you is what's best for you. As for the mind over matter thing, I did say at the end of most 2C-x experiences I get gas, & I'll admit, I feel drained (not necessarily like shit, but certainly drained). That, however, is another matter entirely from the nausea caused by most 2C-x drugs. I actually read something somewhere about the possibility that the gastric difficulties some experience with 2C-x drugs might be a mental thing before that first 2C-E trip, &, I tried to think it away to some extent that first time, but not very successfully. Then, I guess I just got better at it until it became effortless. But I agree, the morning after (like with most drugs) there are some burnout effects, I get that (probably more than you being about ten years older, who knows) & can't think the hangover away, I wish I could, but agreed on that count, it's certainly not a feeling of being "under" matter.

 

It's all personal preference. I enjoy throwing myself a curve ball sometimes whenever my mental state is in an upset. For me it is very therapeutic and sometimes, but not always, it FORCES me to see the light which isn't very fun at all but I never regret it. Put's thing in perspective. Like a slap to the back of the head. Some may say that it is irresponsible but to each their own. Psychedelics are a tool and how one uses them if their own choice.

 

^^^^^ This is actually a very good point, & one I can't refute outright. I agree with this, but it's been my experience that pushing a psychedelic experience for therapeutic purposes without at least one person to help keep you grounded is a roll of the dice. Sometimes, as you pointed out, it's like a slap the the back of the head. I recall the other night stating outright that psychedelics are a part of me, always have been, & always will be & that I'm proud of that fact. Sometimes, though, especially noted in the above statement, that slap to the back of the head can turn into a night where you're holding a pillow over your face asking yourself, "WHY DID I DO THIS TO MYSELF???!!!" While other times still it can turn into a rather ugly clusterfuck that leaves you wondering, "WHAT THE FUCK WAS I THINKING???!!!!!" So though I agree it's a personal preference of which there's no refuting that, sometimes that roll of the dice can get pretty damned hairy. Usually I am with you that even the not-so-fun trips teach you something unique & groundshaking, but once in a while that curve ball can be so off that that's where I digress in personal preference from you, that's when I *do* regret my timing. Generally I don't, & it's been ages since I've regretted a psychedelic experience, but it's happened at least 3 times in twenty years for me.

 

^^^ I hear ya. I fucked up a few times myself and got very very close to losing my shit so to speak. It can (and will) happen to anyone is they are either A. Just asking for it or B. Are not prepared that they may or may not happen. Psychedelics can bring you to your knees with bliss but can also in agony for no obvious apparent reason. And yeah, it's always nice to have someone around to ground you if thing get out of your control. I am thankful many times over for my dad being there for one shroom trip in particular many many years ago that I believe I may have mentioned once or twice before.

Damn I do believe that in my sleep deprived stoneded state I missed the point of the conversation that I jumped into. Sorry for the off the wall interruption if so. Haha. Please forgive me.
