Yah and I found most effective keeping the lighter at like a 45% angle as if it were almost a match so it pulls down onto the herb as opposed to aiming it right at the bowl and possibly torching the Dmt beneath and leading to the coughing and nausea. If you are weighing it add like + 15 mgs to your dose to account for what may stick to the sides or get burnt.

Expectations mean nothing on the breakthrough LOL. There is no way you can ground yourself like that when you are breaking through. It beats your sensory processing with a psychedelic gold lead pipe.

 

I suppose the problem with the wool is that it doesn't really vape when held right side-up, thus straight flame has to be applied, which as you say, seems to be bad.

I'm not trying to suggest that I completely ground myself either, as I have had some breakthrough experiences and somewhat realize what magnitudes these substances push the brain.

I think better way to phrase what I might be feeling is that I build too many pre-conceptions before hitting the DMT, leading to anxiety and to a certain degree, an unconscious sort of instinct that leads me to having difficulty being able to take hits properly.

I think what I've realized is to stop smoking it with an expectation of that which will come.

I'm not trying to suggest that my mind is just powerful that it tunes out something like a breakthrough DMT dose.

 

Ya CS at least you've smoked some at all haha, so enjoy the experience however intense. Have you considering smoking some on lsd or have you already? That would seem like a good way to breakthrough.

 

I've been very close on a dose of 25mg of 2C-B, but I decided not to as it was my first time feeling very good on 2C-B alone.

If LSD wasn't so rare to me, I would definitely smoke some DMT on LSD. Maybe next time I actually eat some LSD I will smoke Deems if it is around.

 

Oh I think I get what you are saying. I suppose there may even be a very small percentage of people who dont respond to it but I assume people who respond to other psychs probably do to this one as well. Perhaps what you are saying holds some weight but I hear the same sort of view alot in regards to salvia. Then when they breakthrough its more of like a conceding 'oh now I get it.'

I had preconceptions before smoking dmt before trying it and even botched my first trip and that lead to some doubt, but I ended up breaking through later the same day so short lived doubt. Even still I think have some preconceptions before trips. I actually find it occasionally sort of doesnt happen but most my trips where I've aimed for breakthrough have completely enveloped my mind to a point that any expected effects or personal issues outside the experience were irrelevant. I find the sensory effects pretty unrelenting in those few minutes.

 

i was surprised that you said NO visuals, CS. i thought even sub-breakthrough DMT was pretty visual. one day i'll have to just test it out myself. i have a hefty dose of pre-conceptions about it as well. i think it'd be almost impossible not to.

 

I am experiencing a 2C-I minus 5-HT2A/2C agonist effects. The reason for that is that I took my Zyprexa last night, which is one of the most potent antagonists to those receptors. So, I feel very happy, creative, talkative, but barely ANY visual disturbances compared to times when I have fasted on Zyprexa the night before. I think it is still a worthwhile endeavor.

 

Yeah, I find it pretty strange too. Either I am barely hitting the deems at all or just.. not getting much in terms of visuals.

A friend of mine said that he thought it was strange that I was getting no visuals, especially considering my previous experience with various psychedelics.

I've never broken through but thoroughly enjoyed it every time DMT is beautiful and powerful even at low doses.

 

Wow. Tonight's experience actually became excitedly intense as time passed. I feel as though I certainly lost my psychedelic virginity tonight. And like you all said, i can't really describe it.

I had to bite my tounge earlier when you said you were going to take a higher dose of 15-20 mgs. What did you end up dosing at?

Sorry to hijack, but I bought some stuff at a show one time that I was told was a synthetic mescaline. The guy was super cool so I took some. It took about 4 hours to come on and was very mellow most of the time. There we times when I felt like I was drudging along so slow, and times when i just felt like I had smoked some chronic, everything was just light. It was a constant roller coaster in and out for about 20 hours. Could it possibly be 2ci. It wasnt anything like 2ce and it was also on paper. I have yet to find out what this really was.
