I am a lone explorer/tripper at the moment. My closest guy trip partner moved away for school, my closest girl trip partner asked me out and I turned her down and she said she never wants to talk to me again, and my other guy trip partner moved back home to Northern California. Unless I'm at a rave, even then I'm still pretty shy, I don't go approach many random people talking to them about drugs either in person. I definitely do not want to get back into the bar scene though.

Alright so I was wondering if someone could give me a quick easy to understand explanation on how 2c-X's really work on the brain. Cuz I have one of those friends that thinks he knows everything about psychs and after me and a friend snorted some 2c E he was like Oh my god, that shit so bad for you. Snorting it takes it straight to your brain and makes it start bleeding and that's how you trip

So really, I just want to be able to explain what its really doing so I can keep him quiet next time ha. He has done quite a few in the past so now he thinks hes some wise bastard ha

the easy explanation is serotonin neurotransmitters are effected, The full explanation is probably tons more complex and its not yet known. (hence research chemical) There are probably other neurotransmitters activating or shutting down as well in various regions of the brain but I can say with a fair amount of confidence if 2ce caused brain hemorraging (bleeding) there'd be a lot of folks who would've ended up in the hospital by now from it.

Word. I would like to take them at the same time but I loved having a couple hours of rolling then turning it into a trip. I've only done it once but it was incredible.

Oh well I hope you don't completely leave and at least stop by occasionally, but do what you got to do.

Are you in the western hemisphere? That's an odd time to dose if so haha.

all psychedelics bind to serotonin receptors in the brain and can cause serotonin release or inhibit serotonin re-uptake (either one increases the amount of serotonin in the synapse - space between brain cells)

2ce has been shown to slightly influence the re-uptake and release of monoamines (serotonin, dopamine and norepinephrine)

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17223101

doesn't make your brain bleed, but it probably isn't very good to snort.

Thanks for my first glowing ball, pork!

Some of our similar reactions to things are uncanny eh?

ETA: oops, wrong thread. Thought I was in the thread where we were talking about daunting trips of shrooms vs LSD...

Been up for 2 days now. Fighting with my girlfriend over what she thinks facts are. Taken 115mg Ritalin (60mg yesterday, 55mg today), 20mg XR Adderall yesterday, extra strength 5-hour energy yesterday, and another this morning. I wouldn't bump for such lame highs, but 3 hours ago I popped a xanax bar, ate 12grams of Super Grade Kratom, and 30 minutes ago I did my 3rd favorite substance..3oz's of TUSSIONEX!!!!! Happy v-day all.

I'll chime in with my understanding, but I"d suggest googling. Take my angle on it with a grain of salt.
You're talking about 2 different things. Route of administration, and how a drug works chemically in your brain. I'm not too educated in brain chemistry.
But as for snorting... There are a few main ways of taking a drug. Snorting, orally, smoking, plugging, IV and IM, and smoking. All of them do the same thing, get the substance into your blood stream, which carries it to your brain. The different results come from how fast it enters your blood stream and how fast your body breaks down the chemical and gets rid of it. (sometimes called half life but thats not technically correct as it's not atomic decay) The different effects on your body are the results of that chemical on your tissues. Snorting affects your mucus membranes and nasal tissue, swallowing affects your stomach lining, etc. If 2Ce made your brain bleed, it would do it any way you took it. But it doesn't. Snorting it makes it enter your bloodstream a little faster than from your stomach, then it crosses the blood/brain barrier. In that sense it goes to your brain exactly the same as any other ROA.
I'll leave the brain chemistry to someone better read on the subject. Hope that helps.

    Peace.

Oh yeah, suggest to your friend he read up more.

Sorry for lack of trippage, but this seemed the best place to ask this question. Anyone else need a clock of some sort present when they trip? If I start tripping really hard, every time I have a nagging worry that things will be like this forever, due to the time dilation. If I have a clock in sight, for some reason it calms me down a lot, and makes it much easier to dismiss such worries. I suppose it's because I can roughly gauge when things will start dying down. If I have no clock around, it's a lot harder to convince myself that it's okay, and that I just took drugs, and everything will be back to normal in a few hours. Anyone else have this issue?

Im actually the opposite, checking the time kind of bugs me out on heavy trips because of the time distortion. I usually have my iPod with me though so I can refer to the time if I need to on there.

yeah i dont like clocks.. because then i will start thinking more about peaks and comedowns instead of just sliding along. its always a bummer when i realize that i have already peaked and am on my way back to regular perception
