I'm forever trying to prove to atheist and agnostic people there IS a God. So, I ask you to prove to me there is not and this is what you come up with? You're smarter than that. I know because I've read your posts before.

 

no, i do not beleive that.....new discoveries bring new sciences and the only thing i beleive that is beyond science is metaphysics.....though i wouldnt say it like that.....rather, id say it was below science but not because religion falls into that catigory, because i have a tremendous ammount of respect for religious individualt such as yourself.....

i myself think it a good sugestion that somewere their does exist a somewhat religious figure or diety that is beyond human comprehention and somehow created the cosmos and the earth.....this has alot to do with metaphysics.....but thats just were it goes wrong.....

if i were trying to be articulate about this it would take me forever to explain how i see metaphysics so il say it like this.....

lets say their is a trillion colors (thats with a T lol) wich were in turn on a trillion puzzle peices of the same type....each puzzle peice is exactly identical save the color, wich is the only distinction made between them.

but this puzzle has a trillion peices that go to it.....and each of the individual trillion peices have a trillion different colored peices that you can mix and match untill youv found the right combination....(were talking mountains and mountains of puzzle peices

theirs just one problem......youv got no light to see the colors on the peices.....

this is how i view the concept of religion and metaphysics.....and thats why i dont waste my time with it......its fun sometimes to ponder at it and i beleive metaphysics has everything to do with the "true creator" weather its thought love jesus or allah....and i can beleive in any one i choose......but that still doesnt make me right....so i tell the truth....i dont know....i honestly dont know why im here and what the hell i live for....i dont know what makes a joke funny and i dont know why i love sierra mist....i dont know how far the univurse stretches and i dont know if their is a god watching over me.....

and if that were true.....it sure would make things alot more simple.....
but then agin.....were just putting together puzzles in the dark here.....
and half the peices havnt even been discovered yet

same goes to the athiest......hmmm, god doesnt exist.....WOULD their even be a way to prove that?? besides the absence of evidence????

from a logical standpoint.....theirs about....a one in a googleplex (thats like 1000 zeros or somethn and thats giving ALOT of slack) chance that your book, your ideas and your god and your "puzzle" is in fact correct...seeing as how one can create a religion out of any story he can think up....

were athiest have a 1/2 chance.....were their either IS or IS NOT a god

note:IM NOT SAYING CHRISTIANITY OR ANY OTHER RELIGION IS WRONG....but those numbers are rediculously rediculous

you guys argue and argue... in reality you defend your point, he replyes... and you somewhat fight in this zone and thats it. you dont look beyond. not jsut in ur mind, or ur fellow muslims or others. but beyond , thinking not only about god or how to prove it. beyond, applying basic intellect. Science will never be perfect , but it progresses everyday, constantly, Religion- is not perfect thats why now with progess of humans more turn away from it. and more WILL because progress goes. it stopped in religious world .

All you have to do to experience God is believe in and love God truly and unconditionally for the rest of your life.

That's the thing...those of us who have experienced God know how it's done. We say how it's done. People who won't give it a chance try to tell us we don't know what we're experiencing. I love philosophy, but far be it from me to care what anybody else believes when the day's out.

God exists, like it or not. The sky exists... Lock a child away in a darkened room from birth and then try to describe the outside world to them. "Oh, there's another room much like this one outside your door...with a door of its own you can step out of...but outside that door is a world of fantasy objects! Trees! Clouds! And this great big blue shining roof overhead! With a great big shining orb in it!"

 

you have not honestly and objectively answered the question of what makes you think your conception of god/allah is any more or less likely then anything seen in "imaginatie japanese anime's".

and to what point and purpose bring up selfserving and circular arguments?

are you that insicure in your belifs that your confidence in them depends upon it being shaired by others?

the moral responsibility to question everything belongs to the individaul. not some arbitrary central 'authority' to hold itself above question.
