    rape= violent
    using guns and knifes= violent

    not good....
violence can't be stopped with more violence.... so simple.

BTW if everyone has a gun people can kill way to easily. do you really think people will only use guns to protect themselves.

what if you are mad, you'll shoot the cause of your anger
what if you are poor, you'll shoot to get money

I'm pro abortion because it has no use to let a woman keep a child she doesn't loves. they'll both be unlucky for the rest of their lifes which might lead to more pain causing incidents.

a child that never had the chance to be evil will go straight to heaven anyway, in my opinion

SO, it should be illegal for anyone but the rich to have sex?

    Sieg Heil, mein Fuerer.

How is the already overcontrolling governmnet going to enforce that one? Maybe we could start putting Scarlett letters (Maybe a "P" for Poverty. Let's make it a crime to be poor.) on womyn who have sex, and can't afford children? What about MEN who are too poor to support children? Should they be disallowed to have sex, also? What will you DO to people who have sex and are too poor to support children? Thought about that?

TV isn't a normal physical drive. EVERYONE normal has sex. End of story.

As for men "opting out" of having to take care of children they help concieve, NO. OPENING your freaking wallet is a hell of a lot less work than taking care of a child for the rest of your life, and/or having to deal with the physical and emotional issues during a pregancy. THERE IS NO COMPARISON, between PAYING a child support payment every month, and actually rasing the child on your own. There is NO COMPARISON to opening your wallet once in a while and enduring a pregnancy. YOU can't know or feel what womyn go throught during their childbearing years, so, yeah, if you don't want have to pay child support
    • Only have sex with a womyn who you have a long term relationship with and who you have a plan for what will happen if she gets pregnant (this is what my dh and I always did)
    • Don't have sex (for some on this thread, that shouldn't be so hard. LOL!!)
    • Use condoms, and only have sex with womyn you can trust
I'm so sick of men who think that writing a check is in any way EQUAL to going through a pregnancy and raising a child. ANY jerk can write a check. It takes you 2 minutes a month. Pregnancy takes ALL your time and maybe even your life. Raising a child takes ALL your time and energy (if you do it right) there is NO comparison between PAYING a child support payment and raising a child.

tv isnt a normal physical drive? I dont think you're in touch with the western world.

"any jerk can write a check. It takes 2 minutes a month"

Perhaps the most ignorant statement made in this whole entire thread.

I think most people would like this, to end all rapes. But, like most crimes, this just isn't a real life possibility.

It is already against the law, (rape) yet people do it anyway. Men have sex with their own daughters and step daughters, men grab little girls and old womyn waling down the street, womyn find themselves in situations during what they thought was a normal date, and end up not being able to get away. If rape could be done away with, that would be great. I don't think there is a way to do this, however. Do you really think there is?

    I disagree.

You REALLY think that writing a check is at ALL comparable to physically and emotionally raising a child. YOU aren''t in touch with the reality of what taking care of children is.

Considering I have four, I know what it takes. I also have a check book and know the difference between the LACK of effort writing a check takes (I paid bills this morning, it was nothing, but a little finacially painful) and the INTENSE effort taking care of children takes.

How many children have YOU raised?

Obviously the physical act of writing a check is not comparable physical pain of a paper cut, let alone pregnancy.

Lets not pretend that there is no emotional stress on a guy during pregnancy/childraising. However, thats not what i'm talking about. The physical act of writing a check may take 2 minutes, but you have to actually have money in the bank for the check to clear. You know damn well it is hard enough for 1 family with 2 working parents to scrape by in this country. Now imagine a father who needs to hand over 25% of his paycheck as child support(even more if he was married) AND afford his own car/house/insurance/etc payments and thats before he finds another woman to have a relationship with.

You make it sound like guys have it so easy and the worst thing they have to do is take '2 minutes to write a check' while women have to walk barefoot through blizzards, 5 miles, uphill, carrying 15 men..and thats the first day of pregnancy alone!

You may say "tough, the guy should have kept his pants on." Fine. I agree. But then don't turn around criticize men who tell women to keep their legs shut.

realistically? I never see rapes going away. I never see most crimes ceasing to exist, unfortunately.

That is, until we can insert chips into peoples head to control behavior, but thats for sci-fi books right now :p

OF COURSE there is. IF he's involved. You were talking about a dude who had to support a child, with no other responsibilities, because the womyn had the kid without his OK. Let me tell you, a child support check doesn't come close to the real financial needs of a real child. All the womyn I know who get child support (and a good number of them with kids, who got left, don't even get child support) still have to pay for the majority of what the kid needs themselves. Ever see a single stay at home mother? No, they don't exist.

When I was talking about "writing a check" I was refering to this quote of yours:
No, men can't opt out. Simply because of the "Checkbook 2 minutes a month VS. Lifetime commitment and pregnancy plus her own financial stress" variable. With this "male roe vs wade." We aren't talking about his BODY, just his checkbook, And there is no comparison.

Any stress a man has for simply finacially supporting a child (which is what your "male ROE V WADE" is, a man not wanting write a check) a womyn ALSO has PLUS pregnancy, delivery, raising the child, having to leave that child in day care, caring for that child while sick, paying for college (since most child support ends at 18) so anything HE has to deal with SHE has, plus a lot more. No, no "male ROE V WADE" not until men can get accidentally pregnant.

Can't you feminists just realize it's over? Fuck sakes, you don't have to hang around the internet pissing all over men. Let me ask you this: do you think that if women could run away from the problem like the guys can, none would? They sure as hell would. They'd run away from the guy and leave it to him as quick as he would to her. So don't act like it's a gender issue. It's a "the fucking thing's inside me and there's nothing I can do" issue.

Hey, obviously you don't understand. Someone who doesn't break the law isn't going to start killing people. If the Gov't says, we're making guns illegal, then those people will turn them in. But, do you think the criminals in the world will turn their guns in? Hell no they won't, now they have an advantage over every other citizen.

Ok, way to completely miss the point. First, its not the governments responsibility to enforce it, its the parents. If you can't afford to pay for 18 years of upbrining for your child, then don't have sex, or at least use a condom. Man, you blow shit way out of porportion, leave it to a woman to do that, you and fabioula are both the same.

And a single stay at home mother shouldn't exist. I know its hard to pay for a child, but they have to contribute money too.

abstainance is the solution, heh? quite a boring tied down little solution it is, and not very reasonable. You cant stop people from having sex. If 2000 years of Christianity couldnt stop it, what makes you think that it will stop now. People have sex, and people get pregnant. That is the simple fact. Whether they shouldnt or not is both irrelevant and not your choice to make. What should be done is a huge increase in government support for poor pregnant women. Perhaps we should scrap the programs that just waste the taxpayers money, like the military. Less bombs, more paychecks for poor single pregnant women.

What is your hawkish response to that going to be?

That's a typical man's answer, you fucking man! How can a man have an opinion if he can't give birth? I hate men so much that I must exclude the word "men" from the name of my gender, both collective and singular. Therefore I spell "woman" as "womyn". Small price to pay to avoid having these terrible men in the name of my gender.

Hah, you seriously believe thats what feminists think? I am a man, and I am part of womens societies, I am an activist in womens rights, I am pretty well a feminist. Hell, I like women alot better than men, testostrone in large gatherings sucks. Most people I have met nowadays who actually spell it womyn are at least half kidding. You are citing the radical and saying that it is the ordinary, what you are saying is the same as if you said that Pat Robertson is a good representation for all christians, or that Hitler is pretty well just like all Germans. You are ignorant of the feminist movement, and I daresay a chauvanist pig.

    I'm actually pro-abortion. (as a last resort).

If a woman doesn't want to get pregnant then there are many ways that they can prevent it but occasionally shit happens and whether the woman was raped or accidentally got into the family way its hardly murder if she terminates after a few weeks.

As for mens rights, we have a choice as well, do we or do we not sleep with a woman. If we do, are we using proper protection.

I think that ultimately it is up to the woman whether she wants to keep a baby or not.

There is a case in the UK at the moment of a couple trying for a baby using frozen embryos fertilised by her husband. They have since split up and now he is denying her the right to use the embryos.

I think this is wrong because at the time of fertilisation they were together. Its like me being with a girl making her pregnant, splitting up and demanding she gets rid of it.

I don't see how abortion is a bad thing. After a certain period when the baby is formed to a certain level then yes thats maybe wrong but a few weeks after fertilisation is not really a problem is it?

I'm not a catholic and I'm not held back by any religion so maybe I don't see the spiritual side of things but I believe we are all on this planet for a short amount of time so we should live our lives as much as we can the way we want to. If someone doesn't want a child then they should not be forced to have it.

I know I can't stop people from having sex, but I do believe that if you can't support the child on your paycheck, then you shouldn't have children, My opinion, I don't care what anyone hear thinks, that is my opinion and it isn't going to change. If you're a women and you get pregnant and the man leaves, sorry bout your luck, but hey, its not my problem, I'd rather have my money support the military then a pregnant mother, its my money, it should go to something that supports me.
