maybe so but its not equitable, i can spout as much propaganda as i like (and i do although as its just me its more kinda perspective than propaganda) but its hard to compete with the propaganda of billion dollar industries, a mass media managed by a small manipulative minority, governments and global institutions. to destroy the tools of social control we must use them against their 'owners' to take out hierarchy. if propaganda is universal then it becomes nothing more and everything that is individuality and personal perspective once we have dissolved the warped and oppressive power structures that govern this world but not the world in my heart in my dreams and in my mind.

i think pretty much 80% of mother's feel this way about their children. are you just being childish and baiting? i'm sorry it bores you, but the fact is that people get pissed with peta for the very thing that saps your poor little attention span.

sorry, man, you can call it individuality if you like, but the tools are the same. some are just produced en masse while others aren't. just because propaganda is coming form a smaller source doesn't make it any less misleading or manipulative. you can't claim to be against propaganda of one huge source then turn a blind eye against the propaganda of another. lies are lies, and half truths are half truths.

nah, you're baiting. just own it. roll in it.

and i get furious when people are fucking with my kid's head. you know how long it took me to get her over her nightmares? she was born with them. we've had to radically deal with her fears and stress, then some fucktard wants to hand her pictures of gore in order to progress their political dogma? that's fucked up.

there's well informned, then there's blatantly exploited and manipulated. society is never one-sided, unless you're looking for reasons to be pissed off. i know it's pretty addictive, being pissed off, and feeling special for it.

i'm a pro. i've been seeing a counselor. but seriously, people just don't know what they're up against when they start targetting other people's children. it's just not right. i work so hard to keep disney out of her head, to keep the gap from being her mecca, and to help her develop her opinions without being too heavily coerced by other people. she cannot handle violence. i'm sure there's millions of buddhist children out there who've made perfectly good decisions about the treatment of animals without having some screaching stranger flashing them with horrible images of the worst kind of mutilation.

well im sorry that your child had probs. with night mares but the simple fact is children have had them long before tv and mass advertizing! i certainly hope you dont have to keep the origanal jungle book movie from your kids (made by disney) my all time favorite animated movie!!! i hope you let them jump in puddls and go out in the rain and hunt for worms and catch a frog and hold a snake and and tell the to dream sweet dreams so they grow to become well rounded individuals with kind hearts and good morals!!! no offence meant! i did all those things and more and wish that every cild has the oportunity!! peace!!

oh, yeah, she's got a full, healthy, active life. i just didn't realize how much gore and violence was on tv until my daughter started reacting to it. the jungle book's my favorite, too, but the sheer amount of effort they put into indoctrinating your child into their marketing is INSANE! so we do more stuff outside the mainstream: outdoor play, the bug club, dancing, hiking. we live in a valley in durango, colorado, and there's plenty of animals to see and interact with without getting other people's opinon what they're supposed to be and how we're supposed to treat them.

but kai's nightmares were just TOO AWFUL and impacted her entire being far to much not to react to them. my husband suffers from them, too, but no one ever really tried to deal with them. he'd always wished to find ways to work with them, to reduce them, but there's little he can do at this point. he's seen too much to forget.

sure. but i DO KNOW that certain things will trigger them more than others. and i also consider it a good idea to try not to let my daughter be totally indoctrinated into the whole "princess" thing.

well i certainly agree with you about the whole indoctrination thing i wouldent want my child being indoctrinated into any thing but ultimatly she will become a part of a community no matter how larg or small and will be faced with choices i aplaud you for wanting to protect your child from the evils of the world!!! and realy hate this next word i am going to use! but! she will be part of it and will need the tools to be able to sort it out and make good desions. i think i understand that she may be more sensitive than outhers but i think that the nightmares will fade over time and she might just learn what they were or are about and wont be nightmares any more but things that need to be addressed by her as she matures they might be the ideas that motivate her to do great things!
