Krsna said something very similar as well, only it was in regards to people who actually search for God in all honesty, rather than the people who have already neutralized all karma.
The Bible says that the wages of sin is death, so the punishment for sin is death not hell. So, no need for Satan or hell. As for your experiment, why would Satan appear to you, if he did, that would prove that he and God both exist which would defeat his purpose of having you not believe in the existence of God.
Sin = karmic debt. Karmic debt = reincarnation Reincarnation = death, time and time again. Everlasting life is the breaking of this cycle. x
"i am a guy that thinks it nice to by nice" is this suppose to be this... "i am a guy that thinks it is nice to be nice" which would be translated into "I am a nice guy"?????
Sorry doll, but I'm pretty sure you already sold that soul just by the way you talk. I'm not buying nothing.
Because I chose to incarnate on earth this life time, and I came here with -0 karmic debt or karmic lessons, am I able to trap myself here?
Aha, we can agree on a point. The Byzantine tradition of Christianity holds that sin is the reason we die.
hmm, be careful what you ask for. why did you do this? were you hoping to acheive something? read this thread and maybe you will find something useful to prove the existence of god. oh but good news- this time it doesn't involve selling your soul to the devil. can't blame you for wanting to question this but come on..heh heh
It is nice to have common ground. As for Byzantine tradition, I go by the Bible and it says; the wages of sin is death (Ro 6:23) and the soul that is sinning, it itself shall die (Ezekiel 18:4); so I'd pretty much say the reason we die is sin.
I think the Bible is talking about spiritual death. To say that " the reason we physically die is sin" would be a little "out there".
Well yes, if you want to look at it literally, I am sure god intended Adam to live forevr, but that would require a helluva lot of interpretation. I think this is how the Byzantine tradition works a little bit: We know we are mortal, so we sin to try and stave off death, and in turn we kill our spirit with sin.
Okay, Timeout, everybody go back and read Gen 1-3. Okay, now neodude1212, In Gen 1-3 God tells Adam if he eats from the tree he will die but he doesn’t describe the exact mechanism of that death, but seeing as Adam died from old age (biological reasons), it would seem reasonable to assume that after Adam sinned by eating from the tree, he was no longer perfect and eventually deteriorated physically and died. It would seem that in dying for biological reasons, biological reasons would be the symptom but sin would be the underlying cause. I lot of people want to believe Satan’s lie to Eve, when he told her that she would not die if she ate of the tree. The trouble is it’s a lie thus God told Adam and Eve that dust you are and to dust you will return. Nothing about an immortal soul or heaven or hell just you are just dust and you will once again be dust! It may be a little out there but it seems from reading Gen 1-3 that if Adam and Eve had not sinned, they and their offspring would have lived for ever on a paradise Earth. Actually if you take Gen 1-3 at face value with no Interpretation basically what it says is God intended for Adam and Eve to live forever. It’s interpretation that changes the meaning into something else. As for this: I think this is how the Byzantine tradition works a little bit: We know we are mortal, so we sin to try and stave off death, and in turn we kill our spirit with sin. I’ve no idea what you’re talking about and I’m pretty sure that you’ll find very little support for it in the Bible.
Holy shit, you gave me a headache! Ill give you some advice, LEARN TO SPELL. Stop putting down other peoples religion, its not like they are rubbing a bible in your face shouting "BELIEVE IN HIM!".
