    I chuckled at that one.
I believe in the reality of paranormal forces, events, and even entities... I sense you are more skeptical, Hikky. You are open to the possibility, but not as yet convinced based on what you have seen, experienced, etc. I am just guessing about that position, and please correct or clarify where I am off. In quantum physics, and chaos theory as well, I see an admission by the academe that there may well be forces at work that we are as yet unable to grasp. The complexity of the interactions are beyond us, but maybe not forever so. I love science, and find it the ultimate method to use to see nature's qualities most clearly. Fibonacci series, the golden section, PI, etc., are all beautifully effective ways to quantify and appreciate our environment.
No God? No matter. Why would it matter? Only if God found it important for us to believe in God. Why would God care? We have more pressing problems, like the ongoing 29000 or so daily child starvation deaths, for example, to address.

U the man. Not a word occam would change.
Occam has credited Hiky b4 for his astute thinking. But MOST OF REALITY
    IS HIDDEN FROM US.
Remember we are but specks of mater in a wayward star syatem on the edge of reality. 400 Billion stars in our milkyway..400 billion milkyways in the observed universe.
    WE KNOW NOTHING

    Human purpose...?.....find what is hidden.

May your life be full of wonder.

I, too, salute Hikaru's rare perception. His wisdom is far beyond the level which mine was at when I was his age, and I have learned much from his posts. I also find Occam's words to be enlightening, modest, wise, and very often very closely match my views. A kudo from you, Occam, means much. Most people find my views disagreeable, so it is comforting when one whom I admire agrees with me.
Of course, I would challenge your claim that we know nothing... Bucky Fuller, said we know all but 99.9999% of what affects us. And .0001%, though very small, is something. I am just being a smart ass, sorry. For all intents and purposes, you're right, we know nothing.
My current purpose is to love, and it would be much easier to find what is hidden if I knew what 'it' was.
Full of wonder. I can assure you, full of wonder is a gross understatement. My life is stuffed, bursting, overflowing, swimming in wonder. I thought it was full 30 plus years ago... boy was I wrong. I had no clue there was so much wonder.
May your life bring you what you need, and may you find what is hidden... whatever it is.
    Cheers

LOL...Actually occam thinks that 'conceptually' we know a lot more than
'factually'..Otherwise how would we know where to start when trying
    to pin down a 'fact'.
Occam has always believed Einsteins greatest philosophical comment was.
'in understanding reality, imagination is far more important than intelligence"
And this should be Chisseled over the doorways of all centers of learning.
    [and not in latin]

And glad to know someone 'i' admire agrees with 'me'...
    [uh oh..occam has blown it]

    All the best my friend

    Occam
