It may sound strange to some of you. But I have a heck of a time pronouncing the word meteorological, and its related adverb meteorologically. It is a pretty bad thing, because if you heard me talk, I actually sound rather intelligent, I think. I use all the big words. And I usually pronounce them correctly, which is why this one vexes me so. It's not a big thing though, President George W. Bush reportedly couldn't pronounce nuclear. And it was eventually related, he did better in school than even his intellectual opponent, Al Gore. There must be some simple rule of thumb, or mnemonic device that can help me. Do any of you know of any? Don't laugh, and don't insult. Just help me with this one, please. I know someone told me on another message board, on an unrelated topic, you can remember the spelling difference between principle and principal, because the principal (school), is your pal. Get it? And a college professor (yes, I went to college--the University of Michigan, in fact), said it is easy to remember how to spell queue. It is just "Q", and "U-E" twice. Get it? As I said, please help. :scholar:
It has two words in it: meteor and logical with an o in the middle. Just say it and don't stress over it.
