i was literaly forced into being preppyish when young
my parents wouldnt alow me to dress the way i chose wear my hair the way i chose ..they literaly tackled me and sat on me to cut my hair
i happen to know kacie is planning on going to the new mexico gathering this year which sure proves shes far from a lil preppy girl but a true earth momma just realizing her self
shes 19 after all most ppl her age are just beginning to realize who they are as people, no longer controlled and forced to fit an image to fit in shes now becomming her true wonderful self
and noone has the right to tell her what that should or shouldnt be

    i was kacies age..19
well from 14 on i was on my own pretty much, had my 1st place at 15.. but 16-19 i was fucking up bad
    doing alotta stupid shit
definately nit being who i was
then met this awesome couple who kindsa fixed me up with theyre daughter and sorta took me in as family
they took me to my 1st gathering that year and between 19 and 20 changed so much
started to dread and become who i am now
well no, discover who i always was but sometimes pretended not to be

well, it's been about a week now since I put down the comb, and there is indeed some progress.
    :]
I've got some little baby dreads going on in the back of my hair and on the sides, and just general knottiness all over.
I just washed my hair so it's not easy to photograph them right now, but once they dry I'll try to get a picture of my babies up here.

    loving you all. :]

I'm having a difficult time getting pictures to actually show what is going on with my hair, as it's rather dark.

but my most recent development is that two of my most knotted dreadbabies are forked at the bottom, like little snake tongues.

:] I'm fascinated by the whole process.

    ohh yay
one of my fasves was like that till recenly it decided to change on me
its an amazing process isnt it?

some are alrweady actual dread babies arent they..not just lil tangles but cute lil dread babies
pleasse take some pics even if u gotta lay each on a white background for contrast
ppl need to see the magic of the early natural process

    will do, my friend.

it's a beautiful thing, and I'm so happy I decided to go this way.

honestly, it's so interesting to see the way my hairs will decide to behave with no intervention, no constraint, and no force of my own intentions upon them.

    :] just lettin' it be.

it wasn't really possible to get a decent picture of all the little babies, so maybe I'll get a friend to help with the dready photoshoot next time.

basically I am around two or three or something weeks out, still got a lot of undreaded hair, some hair that is starting to clump up, and of course the babydreadies. I love my hair already. :]

I'm glad I went the way I did with this.

    just 1 word

    yayyyyyy

but said with a big ol goofy ear to ear grin

    theyre doin great
chevies dreads were biout like that at 2 weeks (slightly shorter tighter and lumpier tho) but was just a few babies scattered riund alotta undreaded hair, week after week got better and by 2..to 2 1/2 months in was fairly much all dready and tight

im betting in another 2-3 weeks the progress will double even tripple
you'll be lil over a month in when they're recognizable as dreads from a distance...stull lil on the wild side but nother month or so will start taming em
guessing anyway just based on what i see and others progresses with simular length hair

post progress every say 2 weeks, unless its really progressing fast then every week, but every 2-3 should show significant change

yay yay yay im so happy
