yeah? I don't understand why you're taking such personal issue here. my decision to dread my hair has nothing to do with how 'preppy' I am, or how much of a 'poser' I am, or whatever. I'm sorry, brother, if things like this genuinely bother you so much. I can't imagine how you handle things in your day to day life if a thread about some chick you don't even know deciding not to comb her hair gets to you this way.

wow. you know nothing about this girl. i happen to know a bit more about here and understand that over the past few months she has undergone some serious life-changing experiences that no one her age should have to go through. it's enough to transform anyone. i'm extremely happy to hear that she wants to do dreads. people on these forums gave me shit for starting dreads, too, and i absolutely love them and how they transform and free me. kacie, what kind of shampoo are you using?
