My question is: what makes you think they are more attracted to those girls?


It may seem paradoxical, but the people who get most attention aren't necessarily the people who are considered most attractive.

it's true, praxis. my little sister, who was the picture of SoCal girliness, would never date a guy with a good complexion or self confidence. she had her own tragic reasons. i only ever went for the super skinny dark guys. i really think there a biological imperative that happens in some circumstances, and in other circumstances i think it's social.

People limit themselves a lot. I've had quite a mix of women and types within the normal range.

There are just some women out there who every guy thinks he's got a chance with. from guys with the lowest of self-esteem to the superego, from the fattest to the thinnest, from hairiest to the baldest, we think if we approach her she's easy pickings.

i had a friend like that in high school. she was much more than the guys gave her credit for.

 

Everyone likes something a little different. and frankly, personality + brain can change the entire appearance of somebody.

 

Oh yeah. Out of all of the guys I have dated maybe three would be considered attractive by society...but they all have great personalities and are intelligent. I can't stand stupid pretty boys.

i usually just dismiss typically hot guys from the start because as soon as they open their mouth i tend to be disgusted.

there of course needs to be an initial attraction, but i've had guys i thought were pretty cute, then i'd hang out with, and be dissapointed.
