I was just wondering who was into older Beatles music, before they got into the "drug" scene, because Im really starting to get into the older Beatles music.
They were The Beatles that I first got into. Most of the time now, I dont really listen to them ever because the songwriting, for the most part, just isn't as complex as it is on their later albums, but its still fun and great music.
I used to really like With the Beatles and Beatles for Sale when I was 13-14, but now I rarely ever listen to the older Beatles music. In fact, I rarely listen to any Beatles music anymore... I guess I just got burnt out on most of it when I was younger.
the only album I can really listen to that is pre-1965 is Beatles for Sale. that album is pretty underrated too.
Ya I like alot of the older stuff.......Like Rubber Soul.. THAT ALBUM JUST IS JUST LIKE JUST LIKE OMG JUST GOOD. haha peace chickens
i love pre 65 beatles. i like beatles period, but theres something about their older sound that i cant get enough of. sure they grew as musicians later on, but i just love it.
There earlier stuff is good, but as Soulrebel51 says it just isn't as complex as their later work. I heard George Harrison prefered their earlier work, is this true?
Probably.. George wasn't really a fan of psychedelia, I'm sure that includes the non-Harrison songs on Abbey Road as well. He never really got "weird" on any of his solo albums, so its very possible.
I was introduced to the Beatles first as the cutesy,mop-toped, suit wearing guys who sang equally cute pop songs. I wanna hold you hand was the first song I heard of theirs, so all of their early stuff has a special place in my heart.
wow Rubber Soul is indeed a pre-65 Beatles album *rolls eyes* I love early Beatles, they're my favorite band, and I love everything they ever did, equally. They were geniuses, even in the early years..
They had a very good song from 1963, "I Wanna Hold Your Hand". I like this song the best from their pre-1965 songs.
