Hoping things work put well for you both and then you can both go down to the pub and get the beers in
Thank you so much guys. The main worry for me is my poor Wife. She has done her back in real bad and is crying a lot with the pain. Almost every move she makes is so painful and is really chronic pain. She can't sleep and some medications are putting her off her food. She can't tolerate Opioids and being Coeliac she struggles anyway with stuff to eat. I had to call an ambulance on Tuesday morning at 3.00am things where so bad for her. Ambulance came at 5.00am and then she was at the hospital until 1.00pm I wasn't impressed because they didn't do an X Ray, and just sent her home with Co' Codamaol and Codeine and 500g tablets of paracetamol and 10% Ibofufren gel to rub in. She has been referred to a pain clinic and physiotherapy but God only knows when that will happen. I am so distressed to see her this way, but I feel so helpless.
Chris is getting a phone call from our surgery on Monday. She said she will make a note to enquire about them. Thank you very much.
Thank you very much. And I have just passed that on to ny Wife. She said I must thank you guys from her as well.
Brother, if she can't tolerate opinions well, perhaps lidocainewith patches would be better for her. They help with my spinal arthritis. I was using morphine patches in the hospital, but doctors here are reluctant to prescribed them long term, so I got put on lidocaine patches. The thing is, patches last for about 3 times longer than pills.
I wanted to learn more before I put my foot in it Kenny. It's terrible but at the same time I am relieved to find out that it's not what I feared at first. I feared for the worst. I can not imagine that kind of pain but I do lay on the floor when I get a back pain. It's sounds nuts.
The system sometimes gets distracted from what is important and it needs a helping hand to be reminded why they chose to become heroes in the first place. Tell her to try telling them she is crying all night long and you want a divorce. I don't want to offend anyone.
Thanks for your very kind advice Doc. I think we will pass on having her say I want a Divorce. But her crying all night is spot on unfortunately. The pain for her is unbearable and any opioids she tries has her tummy crippled up. She is caught between rocks and hard places all over her body. PS. You can never offend me Doc. Being a Scouser we laugh at anything. Including adversity!
As I said, have her ask about Lidocaine patches. Long lasting and no narcotics (opioids). Some people do get an upset stomach or constipated from narcotics. Have as good a day as you can, dear one, both of you.
