Hello, I ordered powdered beverages this week. I hadn't tasted such stuff since... ever. I ordered cherry, lemon and wild berries. Cherry is OK, wild berries is very OK and lemon tastes like it is carcinogenic. I think I will dispose lemon somewhere in the park at night. Regards Gyro
Hello, I did this by accident. I was a little bit too excited while opening one of the bags and a plume of cherry dust entered my nostrils. Regards Gyro
powder is of course one way of making things so they won't rot. while up to a point this sounds like a great invention, it is not without some drawbacks. obviously not everything that was in what the powder was made from, gets preserved in it, if it was even made from what it claims to be to begin with. add water and you have flavored water. this may or may not be all you have. this is usually mostly harmless. but it may still be little if anything more then flavored water.
I recently got a mostly empty tub of creatine/whey protein/taurine/etc chocolate shake powder out of a dumpster - I assume it's hard on your body (says drink ten glasses of water daily.... that's a fine idea and all, but when a product needs to remind you, I find it a bit worrying) and contains amylase and some other enzyme since it's so hard to digest. And I assume it should only be used before a serious workout or something - but while it lasted I was replacing my breakfast or lunch with it - holy shit, it makes you feel AMAZING, it's like a mild amphetamine feeling (maybe that's just the taurine, don't know), and you don't fatigue, it makes you feel like mr incredible when he's working out in the rail yard. I had it for like a week, and my reps in all the lame bodyweight exercises I do when I'm bored to keep my insulin tolerance down, are up by like a third. The moral of this story is that I suspect it makes your kidneys blow up or something, but..... musclehead protein/creatine shakes are AWESOME. Throw that kool-aid stuff out and get with the program. It's probably also expensive, I only got it on account of being a fearless dumpster diver who'll eat anything. I also got 7 bags of knockoff honey nut cheerios and half a bottle of liquor from the same dumpster...
i prefer those little chemical concoctions in tiny squirt bottles i drink lots of water and need a bit of flavour in there to make it taste better...i just use a bit just enough to add some flavour but nowhere near what the bottle recommends
once I squirted one of those peach "mio" things into my mouth with no dilution. I have quite an aversion to them now.
So far every powder/squirt concoction I've tried tasted awful, even the so called natural ones. Would be nice to find a brand that made yummy, non artificial tasting ones... I suppose u can dehydrate fruit, add sugar, and make ur own? ...TO GOOGLE!
I'm thinking fruits that don't create a lot of juices but does justice to water. For ppl who don't find the taste of plain water satisfying but need to drink more of it...
Hello, I dimmly remember a product called Tritop or something like that. It was some kind of concentrate and it came in different fancy colours and tastes. Haven't seen it for decades. As a kid I craved that stuff . I might be wrong, but I wouldn't excepect dehydrated fruit and sugar to be tasty. Regards Gyro
i've also heard of powdered alcohol recently hitting the market. i can't remember the specifics though... anyone else hear about this?
Hello, I've hear about powdered beer and powdered red wine for hikers. But to be honest, I would rather carry a bottle of red wine than drinking that stuff. Regards Gyro
Technically if its powder its not a beverage. Its a powder that you put in a beverage(water) to flavor it. The more you know This message was brought to you by the letter joint and the number
