    I've been organizing the quarterly pot lucks at my company for the last two years. Lots of fun. But sometimes I get stuck for a creative and different idea. We're due to have one in March so I thought I'd stop in here and ask for your ideas.

    So far we've done:

    * Italian
    * Mexican (twice)
    * 50s Food Day
    * Outdoor BBQ (once a year in summer)
    * Canned Food (this was really fun, your dish HAD to contain one canned product, and you had to bring an extra can to display by your dish. We then gave all the canned foods to a local food bank)

    And, I forget the rest.

    Half the company is jonsing for another Mexican potluck, and the other half could care less about it. Same with a Chili Cookoff, half like the idea and half dont.

    I found an idea on the net the other day "Moms Best Dish". So, you'd bring a dish your Mom did that was a favorite of yours growing up. I think that sounds like fun. Imagine the comfort food factor!

    Any ideas?

    How about:
    comfort food day
    Zuchinni day(this is always a good one mid summer!)
    St Patrick's Day (dishes must be Irish or green)
    Name on Ingredient, and the dish must contain it day
    Crock pot day
    Oriental dish day
    Cater in (or take collections for) pizza and have everyone bring dessert

    I could go on, but this may get your creative juices going... Have fun!

    Sharing your finest wines creates a very special atmosphere, as the table becomes a place not only for celebration but also for meditation.
