Physicists only recently managed to complete the Navier-Stokes equations describing turbulence, and every airplane manufacturer in the world has been tweaking all their designs and running new wind tunnel tests. Fundamental technology of any kind is exploding right now, making advances faster than anybody can possibly keep up and what's really holding everybody back is the lack of a theory of everything. Many don't realize it, but Einstein has 180 patents to his name, including fundamental ones widely used in industry, because he could see the sweeping implications of his work. One story has it he drew the first laser on the back of a napkin, showed to someone, and said it would be fifty years before anyone could build one, which is how long it took.

I don’t doubt your statistics but Peter Dinklage is married, and has 2 kids.

Fortunately they turned out perfectly normal with no signs of dwarfism.
