Yes, some ethnic jokes are cruel and degrading. And I don't dispute that. But sometimes you need a *HARMLESS* (N.B.) ethnic joke. Maybe your new boss is Jewish, and you want to break the ice. Or maybe you want to laugh at yourself a little. Why not. But just cute and harmless jokes. You know what I mean. Here are two I know: >A Jewish man is walking down the street in Nazi Germany. And lo and behold, Hitler appears. He takes out his revolver and points to a pile of horse manure, and says 'eat that!' Then a phalanx of marching soldiers go by and distract him, and the Jewish man gets his revolver. 'Now you eat it, he says.' And while der fuhrer is distracted, he makes a discreet exit. Then he arrives home. 'Martha! Martha!' he says, 'You'll never guess who I had lunch with today!' Now come on, that is a joke even Jewish people would laugh. Okay, this one my mom even used to like (and she was Polish): >How does one Pole find another Pole in the dark? >Wonderful. I trust you see my point. And please, please nothing nasty.
