Ya know, I have played Tibia before, didn't really care for it. Not as much content as I want in a game =/ Other than lack of content and graphix the game was all and all pretty good.

When my macbook pro comes in (I accidently said powerbook earlier) Im just going to run parallels on it for my needs.

I mean, technically I could just use VMWare on Linux to create the Windows atmosphere, but its tedious shit that I just got tired of doing. I used to just leave the windows box in my closet and ssh into it whenever I needed to but again, this is just easier. Oh well

 

Aye, my father has that on his computer, only downer is that there is no audio. And it makes the linux side lag pretty bad. And yeah, it was WineX, Wine is another, less applicable program that was made obviously before WineX

Which mod? I was always really into mods, I have, over the years, had so many different mods. The bar at the top is Titanpanel. There are tons of plugins for it, you can get about anything for it. A couple of my other mod set-ups can be found here: http://www.vactom.net/WoWscreenShots/
Those aren't the only ones, however I deleted everything off WoW from linux side, including screenshots, so those are the only mods I could show ya.

Oh, ya I meant the bar at the top. I never really got into mods much, I had a few but they ended up confusing me lol. I just wish I could get WoW to work on with this damn Vista.:$

 

Yup, aside from a few incompalibilities, it's pretty cool.

 

Vista is a waste of cash imo. Even bandwidth . Its windows xp with a max osx feel. They were sued a few days ago for claiming pc's to be vista capable even though they only meant it was capable for the basic version.

Stating Vista is XP with an OS X feel is cutting it far short. It's UI does share some similarities with OS X, but by and large they are very minor. The biggest would probably be the gadgets in Vista and the widgets in OS X. Explorer is arranged slightly towards the look of OS X, but it still has much more features than Finder. Overall I think Vista has a much more straight forward, more efficient UI.

I honestly cannot stand Safari; it seems every other site can't be displayed. Vista's voice recognition is hands down superior. XP's multimedia authoring was horrible, Vista's is an amazing improvement. It definately rivals OS X and improves upon many aspects, although iLife still has the best movie authoring. Performance wise, Vista runs better, once you get past the high system requirements.

Technically speaking, I think MacOS X was superior to XP in certain respects, but I think Vista takes the cake. Vista has a better API than OS X with the replacement of Win32 with WinFX. The account security in Vista is fantastic with it's UAC, something unavailable for OS X. With the superior GPU, the graphics are unbeatable. NT beats XNU hands down thanks to its prioritizing of its disk activity and improved file system. Windows is finally embracing XML with GUI, XAML, and especially XPS, definately putting it a notch above OS X.

All in all, Vista is a giant step above XP, and in most repects that are comparable to OS X, it's improved at the very least.
