My fiance wants one, she hasn't been pierced there yet. Post pics of some rockin' piercings so I can show her
it's true. even though i'm not like this, it seems most girls who have belly button rings that you SEE also have fake tans, wear pounds of make up, bleach their hair to death and have playboy tattoos all over themselves. Usually their wardrobe consists of anything that will reveal their bellies and rings, cleavage and asscrack. Belly rings are lame when they're just an excuse to be a half naked hooker.
Yeah, most girls who have them do tend to fit that stereotype. It just seems really trendy, more-so than any other piercing. Not that trendy is necessarily a bad thing, just when it comes to body mods.
i like them, their cool. i want mine done. only cause im addicted to peircing things on my body, and thats next hahahahahhah. yeah i like the ones that are on top instead of bottom. but yeah i agree, most girls who have them are like teenage whores. but yeah i think its cool. dont they all pretty much look the same tho? i mean its just the jewerly thats different.
it's the way you sport it that makes the difference. If you use it as en excuse to constantly lift your shirt up then i thnk it's sad. When it's there because it's self expression and just a part of who you are, then go for it. Embrace your desire to express yourself on your body.
HHHAHAHAHAHAH i think their pretty. but not if the girl dresses like a goddamn hoochie momma and lets it hang out. i think its pretty if your into like belly dancing and stuff ( which i am) or if your in a bathing suit alot. it sure does spice one up. io love them. their cool
well im not a stereotype.. ive been called weird ..and a lot worse ..i dont bleach my hair(any more)..and dont wear fake tan ...i want to get my belly button done in a few weeks time ...on hoiladay...what i want to know is does it hurt ...im a whimp in a big way :&
tropic-i love your sig, lol I haven't had it done just yet....the reason I haven't are exactily the ones that have been listed here. I have heard that it hurts a considerable amount....although, all the girls who have said that have only had navel piercings done and say that they are scared of needles and pain and stuff. But the way I see it, you're sticking a needle through your body, it's gunna hurt.
i guess i just like belly button piercings...i always have:& Since I was 9 I wanted it done & tried myself a few times. then i got it done when i was 13. i really like it but i'm very particular about navel piercings in general: i don't like things that dangle because they're not safe, i don't ususally talk about it because i too think they're very trendy. i'm one of those people you wouldn't expect to have it done & when people get a peek of it for the first time they freak. oh, what really sucks, is i last my last one, (ring) so i found this ceramic orchid which is pretty & all, but it's HUGE! the thing is so damn big that i feel it really calls attention to me. i guess the only thing i can do is try to scronge up some more money so i can get a new one.
I have been wanting my navel pierced since I was about ten or eleven. I think my parents may allow me to get one for my seventeenth birthday. I hate that they are so trendy. I never do anything trendy, but I really want a piercing, and not only can I not have facial piercings due to school/my future career in theatre, but my parents wouldn't allow anything other than a navel piercing anyway, if they even allow that. So, I'll eventually get one done and just do my best to not be stereotypical. Because I've never been called that in my life, and I don't want to start now. In my opinion, as long as you get body art for your own benefit, and not for anyone else's, it's not about the trends. Shannon
