the mystery to me, is why would anyone's popularity of lack of it, be of concern to the op, or to any of us?
as for the person named, i don't believe i have heard their performance, or even of them.
i really don't have the time or interest to be robbed of my own thoughts by listening to anything on corporate radio or television.

but to be offended by the popularity of a person, to me this makes no sense.
now the popularity of the idea of being inconsiderate, that offends me,
not because of some passing aesthetic notion,
but because of how it affects the kind of world we each have to experience living in.

I think PR is jealous. Or maybe he thinks Post Malone (the artists in question) doesn't deserve the limelight because he isn't good.

I think Post Malone is alright. He has a great voice too. But he's not my favorite R&B or what have you. I'm more into Demi Lovato. Or Selena Gomez. Or Ariana Grande.

 

I googled a few songs. More thought and creativity put into the lyrics vs. other rap these days but it's still top 40. I can see why people like it. I will stick with Vanilla Ice.He's the white poet of the ghetto for me.

 

Never heard of him either. His music does not resonate with me. Let's not forget that music is a subjective thing, just like food one man's meat is another man's poison. It is one of life's great mysteries for me is how Barry White ever got a recording contract. I thought he was a fat, ugly man who could not sing, but I am not going to criticise anyone for liking him.
