That was 2011, and a little infamous now, as it never was a trillion frames a second, you arent looking at the same pulse of the laser in every frame of that

It was a trillion frames over 100 seconds, they then used software to pull out frames relevant to where they think a single pulse should be at each point in the video

A gif is set at 15 fps and that gif is about 5 seconds long, so you are only looking at 60 of those 1 trillion frames

This one, along with the one with the apple, the percieved delay with the reflecting light is just as much about the delay from your retina to your brain before the next frame as well as the gap made by the missing frames as it is about the actual delay between the reflecting light and the pulses

The short version: It doesnt actually look anything like that, and no one is ever going to be able to see what a single pulse through a coke bottle would really look like
